I understand that Tosin had a verbal agreement to join Newcastle. He apparently wanted to develop under Eddie and gain international recognition. If he goes to Chelsea he’s a sucker. He might be on mega bucks, but he’ll get the Kalvin Phillips treatment.

Congrats on 30k guys, you deserve it. As for Tosin it's a no brainer for him to go Chelsea, doesn't have to relocate, money, Chelsea selling defenders and Tosin will know Maresca from his final City days in the youth. Would love Diomande, that would be our CB for the next decade but I don't see us spending money like that this summer with no Europe. Obviously depends if we sell key players which we all hope doesn't happen 🙏

I’d be really surprised if Bruno will go somewhere else at the drop of a hat, with a wife and young family and settled where he is, worshipped by the fans; fantastic manager- all that is massive and hard to ignore

@@since-oj9ce agreed, but if your hand is forced by a lack of strength in depth, and a player insists they’re fit, all the manager can do is take a gamble. No one held a gun to these players’ heads. If they had said they needed more time to recover, then Eddie would have listened to them

Yes Diomande would be a brilliant signing if he comes to the toon and as we say as far as Kelly or Tosin goes we just have to wait until there is clarity on where they are going then until there is any thing mentioned by our club or another club saying he has signed for that club

I think if Bruno wants to leave then the club/s who want to sign him will wait until after the release clause lapses before they make their move. We should prepare ourselves for speculation for the full window and not just until 30th June

Agree that these links are a reflection of where the club is at. Eddie’s rep for developing players is deserved. Ask Bruno, Alex Isak et al. I’ve no idea about this Tosin lad but he could do no better. Players serious about their careers will know this. It isn’t just about the money. Silverware will come
Just googled this guys and most sources are linking him to Arsenal for 51m.
I don't want Bruno to go, but if he does, that 100m fee equates to around 400 -500m in FFP terms, so that will rebuild our team, at least we know our ownership will invest every single penny back into the team.
1st year accounting of 500m ffp spend there is a huge difference. You still need to make and account 100m ever year for the next 4 years as well.

I think the next stage of the Newcastle United project will be increasing the wages of the superstars, so that they can compete with the Big 6. These would be: Isak, Bruno , Gordon, Joelinton and potentially Tonali (if he lives up to expectations) and Botman (if he makes a full recovery). Maybe also Livramento Hall and hopefully Barnes if he hits the ground running next season. This will allow them to bring in more elite players and keep the one's they've got. Maybe just one per season while they gradually increase their revenue.

It just seems to me that when we "talk" to a potential signing we talk and talk and talk. Chelsea seem to go straight in with an offer & usually get their man. Are we being indecisive and too cautious?
I remember a time when it seemed like Ferguson was stockpiling players and "showing interest" in players merely to either stop other clubs having players or to push the price up. Could just be my biased memory.
Re Bruno going. Not something I want to happen at all. But remember when we sold Cole to our main rivals. I was devastated. Threw a sickie and went to the pub to cope. I don't want that feeling again. But we'll survive. We used to be Spurs feeder club (or so it seemed) . Those days are gone. But we're still in the aftershock of FCB's income restrictive policies.
IMO if we'd got any Europe next season, we'd all be much more comfortable in the bumhole area. I think we'd have been favourites to win the conference (Man U should walk it)

I think it'll come down to ambition shown in this transfer window whether or not Bruno and Isak stay, we need a minimum of 3 top quality players, not kids or "ones for the future" in order to push for top 4 again.
I'm still waiting for the club to publish the following quote on the failed attempt for the 11th time to sign Hamza choudry 'we couldn't quite get it over the line'

Thiago Silva has just left Chelsea on a free so lots of media are linking various centre backs to chelsea as his replacement hence the supposed interest in Tosin. Diomande is a good player and I would take him but I feel we need a player like Schar whos is good at long ball and switches.
Tosin has this to a degree but if we want a young player then I think Huijsen may be a better bet than Diomande. We have been linked to him recently and probably would cost £25-30M. Jose rated him as one of best prospects in europe when he came on loan to Roma.
For Bruno going I would be very worried if Palacios does not go to Real and KDB goes to Saudi as Real sees Palacios as Kroos replacement and may come in if they dont get him. Its looking like KDB is staying at City so would be less worried on the City front but you always never know in football.
Isak value has been done in euros in reports as E200M which makes it £171M
Spors looks to have lots of experiance in Germany Netherlands and Italy in technical scouting recruitment and CEO roles as well as global director overseeing 777 football operations.

This club should offer Tosin decent money because he would get first team football with us but for me we are on a better trajectory then Man United in my opinion but if he wants to go there it’s his choice just that he has great experience in the premier league and we need that right now. If we don’t go for him diomande would be great option but at 20 has great experience with champions league etc so be great for the club.
For me we should go for Valencia Goalkeeper Marmardashvili at 23 years of age and 6ft 6 be a amazing signing, young, strong and tall and has played all games in a great league against great opposition. For me wouldn’t say no to Trafford but Marmardashvili is my number one. Ramsdale for me looks down on us like we are a small club and doesn’t take us seriously and for me he seems happy being on a bench and doesn’t wanna come to us good goalkeeper but for me don’t like his attitude.
We need a GK, RCB, CDM, RW, ST for this window coming and being out of European football will be annoying but good at the same time because we can get rid of a lot of dead wood in the club and rebuild from there and build a good squad and try and push for any European football next year I would be happy with conference league or Europa League, don’t see us getting champions league but hope they prove me wrong.

Hi all, as expected the vultures are circling our club for our best players and there is real risk one or two may up sticks as we don't have a euro game next season. But let's take some crumbs of comfort. Okay the GK situation needs looking at and James Trafford's name keeps popping up. I know nest to nothing about him except he is a bit young and inexperienced to be No.1 over Pope. So I just took a look at another - Illan Meslier at Leeds who just missed out at the play off final. Is Mesnier their No.1 I don't know but he is valued at £18M on Transfermarkt, so must be okay I guess. Would he be as good as Trafford? Also Morgan Gibbs White is interested in our club, good news if we lose Bruno methinks. Now up front this guy from Club Brugge may be good as an Isak understudy. Igor Thiago anybody?
