usually the whine is from a ground loop issue from the alternator. in car audio it was because the RCAs were near the amp power wires, or there was a bad ground with one of the components. that's why in some electronics the people put the magnets on the power wire which acts as a RF choke, from what i remember.
I love my entertainment center in my car but on a farm tractor I’m tuning in to what the equipment is telling me. As a kid, I wanted a radio on my open station farm tractor but now I cannot imagine what trouble I might have avoided had I been focused on 1960’s rock music. 🤣

Not sure what radio station it is down in Texas, but one of my favorite talk shows is based in Texas, Markley, Van Camp, and Robbins show. Their Friday's shows are great with the Friday 5 music trivia they do.

A similar stereo for a 2016 freightliner is about 300 bucks to replace......... and it's only 25w to two channel's yeah that's a no. 60 bucks at Wally word and 40 bucks on slamazon for some speakers to support it.
Curious what you'll do with the old stereo. Make a boombox out of it with a set of speakers.
Its a kubota thing to not put in stereos unless you order it i did the same thing with my M7-172s just bought the radio i wanted and had dealer install it for me and cheaper. But then on my Fendts they now have a 10 inch touch radio screen that slides out of celing lol but fendt gives me a phone dock which is awesome . Thats the difference between my 160,000$ kubota and the 400,000 fendt lol
Bought a Boss unit for my CJ. No more CD/Cassette units for me. USB, audio in, internal SD card. Water resistant. I think audio suppliers have gone standardized wiring colors. If they did, good. Iffin they didn't, they should. The one thing i didn't get was bluetooth. But, it sounds like a good option. And yer right. Ya gotta have tunes in the field.
