    I'm from Michigan and I primarily hunt pennys. My daughter since the age of two can spot a Canadian coin would always yell Canuck 😆

    I recommend looking for the Wisconsin high and low leaf varieties. They'd be on the left of the corn stock!

    Thank you for your videos. I'll be purchasing these placemats as soon as possible. I love your videos and have always been into searching coins. I've had a huge collection sense I was younger and lost everything a few years ago. I've been working my collection back up recently. I'm excited to get my collection back up.

      @@QuinsCoins 2015 Homestead: 1. Abnormality below the bucket. 2. DDR pump handle 'reflected' in the window in the background. 3. Cuds above the roof looks like snow on the roof.

    I have had similar issues getting coins - have you tried another bank? I went to a new bank myself when they held me to 10 rolls of each variety and the new bank said that they would order anything I wanted (including halves). Opened a new account today!! Will let you know if it doesnt play out as planned.

    Hey Ryan love your videos. There are a few variety's I know to look for with quarters. I did notice that you skipped over the Homestead quarters. You should check for the leaky bucket or snow on the roof variety's. Also the 2014 Everglades quarter has a slight variety with the wing of the bird. I'm not as familiar with this one as I am the homestead quarter. Hope this comment helps you out!

    I have a 1974 half dollar with no mint mark how do I find out if it's worth anything

      Your half dollar is worth 50 Cents, unless there is anything really weird about it, it's really common! I don't know of any DDO's on that year and mint mark!

    I have a 1943 penny with out a series letter underneath year. What do think? Like your ideas .

      It depends, if it is steel, then it's common, if it's copper and doesn't stick to a magnet it's rare! Also, it's called a mint mark, where the coin was minted, no mint mark means philadelphia, if its a steel cent than it's pretty common! But stuff like that depends on the condition! How would you describe the condition??

      In a collector's sense yes its good because of the age. Although if you had a 1949-S that would be a semi-key date

      @@drizzo7650 On PCGS yes, but it's only worth what a collector would pay! Plus, collecters would probably only pay $1 at most, mayber even 75 cents.

      For me, it’s all about mixing it up! Look at different denominations, and involve other people if you can! Competition hunts are always fun 👍🏻

    There is a reserve error on the Minnesota state quarter next to the forth tree and the 5th tree from the Minnesota symbol there can be a extra tree

      Some pre 60's nickels are good because they are Semi-key and Key date coins like the 1950-D. Also collectors will keep any pre 60's nickels because of the age. Hope this helps you out! P.S go through your stash and look for these Semi-key and key dates.

      Take them back to a different bank than you get the coins from. Some require the coins rewrapped, others have systems where you can just return the coins in a box.

    Don't forget the Counterfeit Henning nickels. These were produced in 1939, 1944, 1946, 1947 and 1953. The 44s are easy to spot because they have no mint mark but the others need more attention to find them.

    EDIT-. Sry, I was referring to the '65 that he found in the video. I had to rewatch it to find out myself. I don't know why I wrote it like that. Cause it was a dumb way to say, I'd had to weigh it and make sure. I thought there were a few already discovered. But, I could be wrong.

    Quin, do you think with this coin shortage that they might be possibly bringing stashes of older coins back into circulation? Kind of a wild idea but it's crazy the amount of older coins I've been finding lately and in such good condition! I went through 10 rolls of nickels yesterday and found 4 buffalos! Love the vids man, keep it up!

    I have never found a steel cent in a coin box, but I found some at my bank. This was almost a year ago. I was cashing in some coins from the sorter machine and I saw some white pennies in the tellers's rack. I played dumb and asked "are those Canadian or something?" She looked and said no they look like pennies, so I bought them for 1c a piece. There were 15 of them.

    I did my first coin roll hunt ever yesterday! I bought 2 rolls of 50 pennies, but I found nothing rare AT ALL, I was close, I got a 1999 I thought was a Wide AM but, it was a close AM sadly, therefore, worth 1 cent. :(

    I find this strangely satisfying so I checked some old coins I had in a jar and lo and behold I found a wheat penny from 1927 nothing unusual about that you may think thing is I live in the uk I also had other coins that no longer exist

    If people are looking into coin hunting to make money find somthing else to do. No one is going to pay anything for really any coin that's been circulated, the smallest damage destroys the value unless you got it minted and has been sitting in a case it's basically face value. This is literally all for personal collections and fun. It's funny watching someone buy bulk and make like 15 dollars out of 20,000 coins

      Yeah that’s true, there isn’t much money to be made. There used to be some in half dollars, but even that probably doesn’t cover your cost of gas to go pick them up/dump them. It’s just a hobby for the vast majority of people, not a revenue stream

    Great you coin roll hunt but I think with the influx of you tube channels showing coin roll hunting results will actually start to hurt chances of getting good finds - it encourages more people to look and pull good finds.

    I found my first West Point quarter yesterday, and on the obverse of it there was a perfectly circler scratch. I did some research and I think it is from the crimping press, but I'm not sure. Does any one have any ideas?
