- Former Queensland Premier Campbell Newman says the Victorian government is “incredibly desperate” to raise revenue.
Mr Newman told Sky News host Steve Price that the government would seek to increase revenues “everywhere”.
“Because of their reckless financial management.”

If you want aboriginals to advance in anything, then the first thing you have to do is stop calling or allowing them to be victims. They must be treated the same as every other Australian. Things got so bad in Victoria that their GST share went up artificially from 0.88 to 0.94 for 2024-2025. For this NSW’s number went down to 0.86 and Queensland down to 0.95 to pay for it.
