Yuanqi has every right to be mad at his dad for his actions towards him. Bai Jue was trying to keep his family safe but the manner in which he chose was so heartless. You can see just how much he loves his son but I also understand Yuanqi's anger. When he told Bai Jue that he didn't accept him you could see the pain in Bai Jue's eyes. I actually felt bad for him in that moment. I hardly EVER feel bad for Bai Jue because his actions pissed me off. I understood why he did what he did but I despised his methods. I don't care if he was trying to change Shanggu's fate it was the heartless method he chose that made it easier for me to enjoy the pain he felt when Shanggu finally walked away from him or when Yuanqi rejected him. However, in this moment I actually felt bad for him. You could feel his longing for his son's love/acceptance. When Yuanqi called him a liar and told him that his mother told him that Bai Jue doesn't deserve them.. he was crushed. I wanted to relish in his pain but I couldn't...lol his facial expression alone melted my heart. I think it's the first time that Bai Jue understands the pain he inflicted on his family. He was very lucky that his son was willing to give him a chance to explain. I really enjoyed their interaction. Yuanqi is so adorable. He's so much like his parents. I was glad he had the opportunity to spend some time with his father so that the memories he had of Bai Jue were not all bad. He finally has some good memories of his dad so once Bai Jue sacrifices himself Yuanqi will be able to see that his dad really loved him and his mom.

If Yuanqi refused to give him a chance then I would totally support it because it's what he deserves. In this moment after all the danger had passed you could finally see his love for his son/his desire to make things right.
Surely you are the type to be beaten and apologize for being beaten and crying. Because it's basically this when feeling sorry for Bai Que for not receiving the son's acceptance that he hasn't fought to defend or protect his life in his mother's womb. I don't think it was even a thousandth of what he deserved for being weak and cowardly. Because he let them torture an innocent, because he knew it was a scamm, and even worse for this being someone who had a direct connection to him.
