in my area here in Indiana I'm 30-40 miles away from redbird state park (off-road trails jeep rated). i bought a bumper off amazon and was going to the u-pick to get the bracket bolts. i don't have a bumper so need the blots and other fasteners. my u-pick has a few xj's so i know what they have i need. well walking to look at something else and came across a mint 02 black xj that matches mine. so, let's say I'm going to take the header, fenders, doors, hood, back deck, seats and took the header already. this xj is in good shape wish i could got hold of them before it got junked.
Wish I had a junkyard like that near me! Been looking for a 242 transfer case for a swap out rebuild on a 249. That's a project!!! Good day good parts for you.
Hi....that's great work done by you and hope you will keep it... I am from Pakiatan... I have recently purchased a cherokee jeep XJ...its awesome but some parts are missing. Can you people do shipments
Can you take the door card off and spray the threads from the inside of the door? Might get to the threads faster. Ps did you check the rear tailgate interior trim??!!!!??
Going to the yard tomorrow to get some parts for my 96 se, long story short one owner "sheriffs office" bought new however I am having the hardest time figuring out if its a true police package, dont really care either way, but wanting to obviously replace all suspension, it has skid plate in the front and over the gas tank other than that to me it seems like a regular xj, whats the best way to tell? I have done vin searches, title is normal, would the rear drum size be the best giveaway ?
There was no "standard" police package. Most police options include 120 MPH speedo, Ext Idle switch button, D35 rear w/ ABS, rubber floor mats, economy wheels, no roof rack, larger ribbed rear drum brakes, Skid plate package, trans cooler... some had push bars, and an extra map light... so on
Great video Dan I have a 98 XJ and you sure have shown m some helpful hints for doing things. Stay safe and above all May The LORD keep you safe, John 3:16
yeah this yard isn't really a U pull. I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to pull your own parts in New York State lol.. when you ask for a part on the undercarriage they usually come in with a forklift and take it out for you
the bottom interior lift gate sill? I've been looking for years for an unbroken one! I finally found a good one in this XJ. I was gonna film it but it was pulled already and sitting in the back seat
I want to start off by saying I love your content. You and d& e in the garage are the reason I bought a wj. The oil pressure gauge keeps dropping to zero when it gets heat in it! I replaced the oil sending unit with a factory oem mopar one but it still did not fix the problem. The wj is from Scottsdale Arizona with 159000 miles and the motor ( 4.0l ) sounds and idles perfect. Do you have any suggestions? Oh and how do i buy some of your merch?
Hey Eddie! Thanks so much for watching! Did you replace the oil sensor too? Send me a PayPal donation to airvillan2000@aol.com and I'll send you some stickers! Thanks brother
Good stuff there! Have you ever tried sea foam deep creep? It changed my life haha. So much better than PB blaster and WD in my opinion. Smells great too. 🍻✌️
Yes! I unseized a 4.0 motor with it! I bring the WD to the yard because it has that silly folding straw.. it helps not loose the straw in the yard. Lol!
Hey Dan, I really enjoy your videos. I am looking for some 2001 OEM XJ door pockets. They seem to be rare. My XJ had them at some point.but gone now. Any ideas? Thanks and keep the videos coming.
Hey Bob, They are very rare. XJ door pockets were only on the limited door panels with the wood grain.. find a limited part out and you'll find your door panels
@@ProjectDanH Yes that is what I have but there are just holes where the pockets used to be. If you happen to run across any let me know and I will try to get them. Thanks so much for the reply.
Just a brief question for you off subject from your videobut what I would like to know is if I remove the AC condenser on my Jeepand run a bypass pulley and replacement of the AC compressor would it be okay leaving the condenser out when I rebuild my Jeep let me know thank you
I don't see why that wouldn't work. youll just have to make sure you get the right tension on your belt. also you may want to have a mechanic recover your Freon.
I have one more question for you have you ever come across a transmission on a Jeep where the two top bolts on the transmission we're regular bolts instead of the special ones I've been seeing in the videos
Around how much does that stuff cost you from the junk yard I had a chance to buy a ZJ for 300 before they sent it to the junk yard but I could not get too it
@@ProjectDanH I heard that.. you know I had to throw that out there because of the NY hat..💪 your content and videos are always 🔥 and I always smash the like button for ya👍

Sounds like a great score! That's a shame, wish you could've saved it.
Great video but how does that yard expect someone to get parts from underneath the vehicle when it’s just sitting on its axles in the dirt.
I know, it sux.. theyll fork lift it up for you if you need
