🦄🤩💖MUSHU: (Hermit's Expresso) Gelding
Mushu is a registered Gypsy Vanner gelding who was imported from England as a colt. He came to me from New York, and he just turned 3 years old in June of 2022. Mushu is silly, beautiful, and FULL of personality. He currently stands at 13.3hh (should finish out around 14-15hh). He has the LP gene which gives him his coat pattern and the mottling of the skin. I can't wait to train him and start our adventure together.

I like your statement about starting a horse same thing as teaching young children you really have to make it a good experience.
Yes exactly!
in my oppinion I think you shoud keep him because, he would be a great little play mate to any horse, I think your students would love riding him, and we all love watching him.

Absolutely in love with Mushu! It's fun to see Kyle in there, too! You are the best, Shea!
Thank you!
Shae, I was very impressed with Mushu at the block. He is very attentive to you, whether standing or moving. Sweet, Sweet Boi! I learned a lot from this video; maybe more than Mushu did from his session! Kyle was cute with him, too. Love seeing how happy you are with your little Caravan Horsie! Wahoo, guys! 🤠🤠🐴💞
Thank you! It was such a fun session. ❤️❤️❤️
What a good, sweet horse 🌝👍👍
He is a doll. 💕
Such fun, what a clever wee guy, he's adorable 🐎
He sure is!
He is such a sweet pony and you are doing a great job on him.
💕💕💕
Mushu is amazing talented young guy. But you make it look easy even though it's not. Like you said, It's just the beginning of a long relationship. Thank you for sharing! Always a pleasure watching!
Awww thank you!
AMAZING
Thank you!
Love the idea of dropping to the ground to make them stop I'm going to use that one from now on
Yes! ❤️
Mushu caught on pretty quick. 🐎 You're a great trainer. 👍
Yes he did! Thanks 😊
Mushu is my absolute favourite today. He's so sweet and fun wanting to be a best friend. How when you are on one side petting the other, he's looking to see how that happens? Yet how quick he's mastering the mounting block where you can flood him with cuddles añd praise. He's looks the sort that if you snuck onboard and carried on cuddling he'd be happy with it. Adorable. OBS, your doing a great job with him too but it's all about mushu🥰
Yes I love all of his expressions throughout the session haha! Thank you 😊
You're doing a great job with his ground work. He's very responsible in his movements to you. I think these Gypsy Vanners are a really smart breed. He seems really careful as he tries to understand what you want from him. I think he is going to be fun to ride. He's very sweet and doesn't seem to have any attitudes. Where he was raised, they really did a good job in maintaining his quiet manner as he is very stable in his movements.
Thank you! Yes they truly have an amazing demeanor. I’m so impressed. ❤️
You are amazing. I love watching the progress you are making with Mushu.❤️
Mushu is doing so good! GVH's are so cool and usually very willing to learn. And, you are doing so nicely with him! He's really unique in color and going to be really special! Fun to watch the progress! Good work!
They are amazing! I’m so happy with him.
Mushu's did awesome , you are great teacher!!!! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
He is so willing and gentle. ♥️
He’s so gentle and sweet!
Great job. Relationship matters! Taking the time and building rapport and trust makes so much of a difference. Horses are such giving beings to begin with, but when they trust they do so much more. You treated him with respect and he gave it back. I will save this as a great training video. 💞🐎
Yes I absolutely agree! Thank you so much.
A very smart beautiful horse and a great trainer
Thank you! 💕
He is so smart!
I’m so proud 💕
Practice makes perfect! Ground work looks so easy, but your detailed narrative shows how much learning he is absorbing 🤩
Thank you! Yes, he’s my little sponge 🧽
Oh that was so wonderful to watch!!! 🤩
Yay!
What a schmart cookie he is - and obviously so happy to please you! I think he's loving the lessons!!
I think he loves the mental stimulation and the connection! It’s so fun to see.
I absolutely love Mushu and i can't wait to try this with my pony!❤
Awww thanks! He’s such a fun guy.
Thank you so much for everything! I want to try this with my new horse who I have been training. Thank you!
You train him soooo good!!! I love you guys so much best channel ever!!

@@freespiritequestrian np!❤️❤️
His color is so amazing 😻
I love his pattern so much.
He's got an awesome temperment, and I love watching your training technique's . Glad a kind, person, who works softly with horses got him. You're going to love eventually riding him. I have to admit, I really like watching the auctions, and why you do, and don't pick certain horses.
He really does! Thank you. I’ll be going to auctions again late fall-early spring. Summer is to busy and I need to dedicate my time to the horses I currently have.
You are doing an amazing job = he is such a willing boy
Thank you, he’s so sweet.
Such a calm a good training! You both are so good.
Thank you!
Awesome Mushu, love 💘 him!

He's doing great! Seems like such a sweetheart. This is very interesting starting a horse from scratch. I have never seen it done before. Thanks for sharing it with us.

💕
This is so cool!
Thank you! It’s such a good skill to teach.
Always a delight to watch your sessions!!
Awww yay! Thank you 😊
I missed this one..I was in the hospital..
Are you okay?!
I think he will be saddle broke in no time. And you could learn him trics and do shows with him, because he learns so fast.💞👍
Yes he is a smart one!
He really is a fast learner. Good job both of you. Also wanted to let you know that right after I watched your last video with Mushu that UA-cam sent me a video of a guy training a young Gypsy Vanner mare that also had Appaloosa coloring. I was so surprised. She looked just like Mushu except that the spots covered a little more of her back. It is on Colton Woods Horsemanship channel in case you're interested.
Yep I love Colton Woods! ❤️❤️❤️ thank you.
@@freespiritequestrian you're welcome! I just now found him. UA-cam is now sending me Gypsy Vanner videos from all over. 😊
I love seeing you train Mushu. He is such a quick study. He definitely loves you. Do you plan to keep Mushu as a forever horse❤️🐴
Thank you! I can’t answer that question, to many variables.
Nice
❤️
Love your training strategies! Taking any apprentices? 😅
Thank you! Haha not currently but I am looking for an assistant instructor!
This was SO fun to watch!! I have a question please.
I notice how much praise you give your horses, I also notice you giving treats. Is there certain treats they like better than others? And just like humans, does the majority of your horses like the same treats or do they wildly vary?
I’ve seen treats that are peppermint or apple flavored. Do you prefer giving natural treats like carrots or apples instead of manufactured treats?
Sorry, I’m just really curious. One of my horses loved carrots but didn’t like apples, another horse would spit out carrots and only wanted apples. I’ve not owned a horse since 2004, there wasn’t as many store bought treats back then.
Thanks Shae!! 😊
I really like outlast treats and a few other low starch options :).
I am actually working on the same thing with my horse!
Awesome!!
That's amazing. How long do these training secessions last for a beginner like this? Sorry if you've already answered this before.
Thank you! With Mushu anywhere between 30-60min ❤️
Funnnnn btw to be a horse trainer at your farm and train other horses that are not yours do you need collage or can you learn by watching videos btw love the video your an amazing person your so awesome and make horses lifes long fun and let them be free that's amazing❤
Technically there is no certification or regulation, however, you would need your own insurance to teach/train at other barns.
Ohhh ok I understand tysmm for answering my question I was not sure ty
👏💝🏇
💕
I don’t know how you did it he is even more beautiful .
Awww THANKS! ❤️❤️❤️
Do you train from both sides? And curious, what do you feed him?
Yes both sides. He gets grass hay, some grass, and minerals. I feed very little grain as you know the GV’s are pretty easy keepers, but he is still growing so I supplement with minerals & protein etc.
@@freespiritequestrian awesome glad to hear no grain.
👍🍀🇮🇪💚
He's beautiful!!! Have you ridden him yet? X
Thank you! No he isn’t started and he’s to young to ride. I won’t ride him till next summer.
Beautiful...you have a wonderfully willing partner ...🐴
Thank you! I think so too ❤️
Your dream baby is a dream
He really is! Thank you 😊
Kayle is her husband
