1. Cut out all Processed Carbs and food 2. Intermittent Fasting 3. Exercise 25-35 minutes 4 days a week with resistance training 4. Eat the rainbow (Fruits and veggies) 5. Practice mindful eating and write out food intentions for the day 6. Consume fiber filled foods daily from whole foods and supplement if needed 7. Find a way to distress (figure out whatever works for you) to reduce the cortisol I am doing all of these and have lost around 12 lbs. now in about a month and a half. Trying to stick to just mainly leafy green salads with lean a protein, lots of nuts(do a blended mix of organic walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds, just a few peanuts and 2-3 medjool dates in a blender with about 3 tablespoons of coconut flour, then add 1/4 cup of melted coconut oil, fresh lemon juice and raw unfiltered honey to create like formable 1 inch balls and put in the fridge. Sometimes I will add organic ground ginger and it almost taste like gingerbread...it's my go to snack when craving naughty stuff. I also have started eating an avocado a day with lot's of fresh lime juice in my salad. I try to get outside and get lots of sunlight and listen to super upbeat Christian music. Menopause and covid have just about killed me...I have had such a hard time with body aches, depression, anxiety, always have been a food addict and only being now 4ft. 7.5 tall...it's super hard. I would really like to get some blood work done to see where all my nutritional and hormone levels are...but don't really know who to go to...regular doc or obygn doc?? I have a prolapsed valve and that comes with a lot of weird and not so fun side effects as well...but I still going to keep plugging away at this in hopes that eventually this too shall pass..I think I'm in like my 4th or 5th year of menopause. It sure means just that too...putting men on pause..absolutely have no desire in that department whatsoever..been married 30 years. Thank God for a very patient husband. Thank you Mary for all the great advice and prayers to you and all the medical professionals that are trying to endure this pandemic..God Bless and keep you all strong and safe!!
Please advise. I'm a 55 year old extremely active women. I;m 5 ft. 8 in. and weigh 128 pounds. I run marathons, 50 milers, and 100 milers. I average at least 60 miles a week. I also bike and walk. I have recently started to attend yoga. I totally eat plant strong. I eat green leafys at every meal. I eat oatmeal and shredded wheat with soymilk, chia, and a handful of walnuts. Then a side of cooked spinach or kale or brocoli, Usually lunch and dinner includes green leafys, pototoes, Legumes, whole wheat pasta, fruit, etc. So at my recent OB yearly checkup I learned that I have osteoperosis in my lower spine and osteopenia in my right hip. I also have taken calcium and vitamin D daily. And my cholestorol was up to 212. I was shocked about both (bone density and cholestorol) What am I missing?
If you have gut problems you should still be able to eat beans as long as their cooked good right? I have rosacea and it’s due to certain foods. Like dairy and gluten give me problems but I’m try to incorporate good foods that will help me stick to a healthier diet. I came across your channel I’m 46 years old. I’ve started with the hot flashes and stuff. I was wondering do I have to take estrogen?

Fasting helps me so much I feel good lost weight but have pain in my legs at night still
One step at a time.
Magnesium supplements are what took the pain in the legs away for me.
