There was not much he could help me with, as far as getting some one to listen to my song, but I sent him a copy of it and he said if the occasion presented itself he would pass it on. What a guy! and a great entertainer!
Good friend of mine. Been with him to some of the shows he was on. Got a video with him and I flying in to his grass strip first time. Maybe I will post it sometime.
@SteveGaines You are lucky, Mike is the best clawhammer player in Tennessee, period. He knows of more old-time tunes than anybody else I know of, and one of my favorites he performs live is "Angeline The Baker", and "Old Molly Hare". True gentleman and heck of a performer.
