- Making some parts for the Honda Hobbit PA50 moped. Make a better chain adjuster that will hold up. Also make a pedal crank shaft bushing. Make a new pedal crank shaft. Straighten crank pedal. How to keep your old Honda Hobbit alive sometimes requires making parts that are too hard to find or too expensive. If you can make your own parts for the hobbit, it can last a much longer time. Its easy to keep the Hobbit going if you can do these simple tasks. Lets see ho to fix the old PA50 Hobbit.
Nice work Don. I’m 49 and I have a Tomos moped and an old Vespa. Sometimes I ride them in order to feel young again 😂.
Thanks. Hop its something you may be able to use up the road. Is it an Old school Vespa, or one of the newer versions? Don
@@donsengine3158 it’s a white 1981 Vespa PK 170
@@aguycalledlucas Nice... Keep it alive.
Nice job, Don. That fix should last for as long as that moped is still running
It'll be interesting to see where the owner heads with that. Sounds like he's had it from new. Thanks for watching. Don👍
Nice bit of work ... all ready to run The Isle of Man TT ... in the likker cikkle class! For those that don't know, up here in the hills of NoGa that's what we call these things because you can drive these things on the road after they take your license away for drunken driven tickets. You can't drive them on 4 lane highways at all, which means you have to get off and push it to cross at traffic lights ... But Hell ... at least you still are up on 2 and in the wind.
Ha ha.. that's pretty funny. I think here in FL they take your license if you don't have a beer can in your hand while driving. At least that's how it seems when you see some of the road antics. My brother had one of these when he was teen. Ran the snot out of it. Moved up to a 74 Subaru wagon right after that which also took a beating. Hoping to get one of those to restore at some point. Don
