Chaz Ebert, CEO & Publisher of Ebert Digital, Speaks About Her Career and Inspirations

In honor of EntertainmentMakers: On Screen and Behind the Scenes, we celebrate Chaz Ebert, CEO of Ebert Digital and the Ebert Companies and President of the Roger and Chaz Ebert Foundation. Ebert talks about her career, her values, and those who inspired her.
Ebert co-founded the Ebert Fest Film Festival at the University of Illinois in Champaign where she presents a humanitarian award to films that exhibit unusual compassion. She has executive produced a number of documentary films focused on compassion and social justice. Ebert co-sponsored the inaugural 2021 No Malice Film Contest along with the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation. Before breaking into the entertainment world, Ebert began her career as an environmental attorney and in fact made history as the first African American Enforcement Attorney in Region 5 at the Environmental Protection Agency. She also practiced law in the fields of Civil Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity.
