Great video! I found my home street, my high school, all of the major highways (turnpike, parkway, 1-9, 287, 440, and the menlo park mall and woodbridge center
Great job I love seen aviation activity inside the airport specially Newark Airport my local airport it's really hard to find a great spot right there two plane spot great video mate!!!
Hello I am travelling in the 27th of July from Newark to Fort Lauderdale and I would like to know if the 737-900 had AVOD with movies, TV programs and music on demand? Very nice video!
-900s are notorious for their poor takeoff and climb performance when heavily loaded. They've even been known to tip back and rest on their tail when sitting at the gate if they're too heavily loaded in the rear. Basically Boeing has stretched the 737 to the limit. Still perfectly safe, but it definitely can't get any longer.
I'm not sure how heavy this flight was; 22L is slightly shorter than 22R and this one needed just over 7000 feet to liftoff. Had the runway been a bit longer, it probably would have rolled longer too. Some transcon flights have needed over 8000 feet to get airborne with the 800 or 900. Even 2-hour flights need over 7000 feet to get airborne which is pretty sick.
At Newark, it is extremely rare for planes to takeoff from Runway 22L. They takeoff either from Runway 4L or 22R like 98% of the time. This was only because Newark's main takeoff runway was closed and under construction at the time.
Love the sound of those CFM engines!

Thanks for watching!
Best video on the Internet.
Wow that roar is really different from the other 737s, I like it! :)
Stefan van Loon Thanks so much for watching, I really appreciate it!
Because the 737-900 is so underpowered they have to push the engines harder and you get a better sound.
Great video. Nice sound on takeoff. I am flying on UA B739ER to LAX from SEA and B753 to EWR from LAX next week
Thanks for watching! Those are both great aircraft!
Like the airplane United airlines
Thank You for the information.
No problem!
I frequently fly on EWR-LAX in Buiz class. You should try it too, it really comfy
I took off from Newark on Runway 4R on March 24
But are the live programs free?
The CFM56 are nice, they should have used them for the MD-90.

No, the 737-900's do not have AVOD but some of them have live TV programming. Thanks for watching!
I like the New York city view.
miguel rodriguez Glad you liked it, thanks for watching!
you welcome.
ITS IKEA!!!!!
My favorite airlines is united too and my favorite Boeing is ua 767-300
Certainly is rare to see 22L/4R used for takeoffs. I just flew out of Newark last week and we took off from 4R because 4L was closed for construction.
Thank You for watching!
Most of the time 22l is used for landing
2:34 taking off next to IKEA, LOL
Are those the same engines that are on the KC-135R and some DC-8's?
Yes, to my knowledge the engine is the same type on both, CFM International CFM56.
My favorite Boeing is 757 Airbus is 340-600
That was a long take off roll
Soviet jet long...lol.
Gor 39 seconds from maxing thrust to liftoff; not the worst but still quite long. Needed just over 7,000 feet of the runway.
The -900 really is a dog compared to other 737s, as evident in this video.
Yeah it really is. Thanks so much for watching!
Not much different from a -800 from what I can tell. But a dog compared with the -700 and especially the 757-200.

So that means Runway 22L is used mainly for landings.
Yeah 22L or 4R are the main for landings, but sometimes you might catch a few that also land on Runway 29 or 11.
