I purchased a used CD961 model Black & Decker cordless drill. This drill with 9.6V is now 12V. I oiled the engine, cleaned the outside and measured its speed. The result is fantastic!

if you dont have a spot welder, I upgraded my 12v battery to lithium by buying the warrior 12v battery at Harbor Freight for 14 bucks, and with minor modifications and sadering works perfectly

Excellent work, may be you wouldn't place 12 V batteries, I think it must be 10.5 V or less.

Hi, you should use BMS with lithium batteries.

Yupp I know, but the minimum wage in our country is 350$ and BMS is 5$. I got this drill by paying just 3$ :)
