Brothers were tearing up the Carpet in the Church!!!! Shondo to the Brothers especially... Grandpa!!!! I never get tired of watching him praise God!!!!
Whew…That young lady at 8:28 brought back memories! I was 14 when I first felt the Holy Spirit in church one night. Felt like fire started in my feet & traveled up. When that feeling hit my throat… the fire alarm went OFF! I screamed just like that at the altar. Joy unspeakable!
I haven't heard a good spontaneous Holy Ghost scream in a long time like the one at 8:28. People don't shout like that anymore. People don't even slide down in the seat so overcome by the Holy Ghost that the ushers had to come pull them back up. People would call them Baptist fits, but they were sincere praises other than these fancy coordinated dance steps some people have traded them in for to do now. I miss having church like that.
@@clevelandantwine8985 I agree. It still exist. My grandfather had been pastoring for 38 years. He does it too. Some other preachers that he knows does it to. So old school still is alive. I think people don't think about it as much because we live in a time now where there is modern day stuff and a lot of tech. Today we have click loops. Back then, shout music was not coordinated. Now it is. Although I'm a drummer that lives in a type of new school era, I like old schoo little bit more.
Leslie, it still exist! You're just not in the right houses. Holiness is right and real. Find you a house that's preaching the uncompromised word of God and true holiness and you'll preaching just like this!
I grew up Baptist I have converted to pentecostal but trust me I haven't forgotten how to scream or holler lol sometimes I miss home...thanx for posting
Christopher Johnson lol that's sad. But do baptist believe in the Holy Ghost evidenced by tongues? Cuz if it ain't the Holy Ghost doing the shouting, then the shouting is just in vain, done in the flesh.
I do know of some Baptists that have the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. In fact where I live we have Spirit filled Catholics, Methodists, Baptists, and Church of God
Joshua Bellamy when you say Tongues as evidence of the holy ghost , if you mean if a person doesn't speak in tongues and that meaning they probably don't have the holy ghost then no we don't.
Lavette Gatlin Pentecostal’s believe in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it. The initial evidence would be speaking in tongues. Also, since most Pentecostals came out of the Holiness movement, another major difference between Baptist & Pentecostals is the teaching of entire sanctification (Holiness) as a second work of grace, that which is different from the first work which is justification (salvation). Once you have been justified and sanctified, you are now a candidate for the Baptism of the Holy Ghost (3rd work of grace, regeneration ). These are traditional Pentecostal beliefs
Where I am from the Baptist didn't act like this only the Apostolics and Pentecostals did. Now when I moved to the South everyone had church like this: Apostolic, AME, Baptist, Pentecostal, and one Catholic Church did too
i maybe wasn't born in the 80s... but thank God i wasn't too late to see the trueness of the how the holy ghost moved in the year that i was born in... the 90s... this is coming back to the church house
This reminds me of the church I got saved at (Greater Rose of Sharon Baptist church)in Detroit. Where the praise came forth. People don't praise the Lord like this anymore, everybody trying to be cute with it now.
Do baptist believe in the Holy Ghost evidenced by tongues? Cuz if it ain't the Holy Ghost doing the shouting, then the shouting is just in vain, done in the flesh.
Joshua Bellamy for the most part it's not that we don't believe in speaking in tongues .. we believe if you are going to speak in tongues especially if your in the mic so mainly preachers, pastors, ministers etc you shouldn't do so without an interpreter....now if they were to turn away from the mic or do something that lets the congregation know that what there saying at that point is between them and god that's a little different because that's god interceding on there behave. Now, I think what your asking when you say "evidence of the Holy Ghost by Tongues" we don't believe that speaking in tongues is evidence of person haveing the Holy Ghost or not💯😊 I hope I answered your question be blessed🙏🏾
Ain't He alright? Ain't He alright? That's true Baptist. You know they're about to go in again when they say that lol.. This is when praise breaks were authentic and not copied.
ooh my God, you got a lot of good stuff from back in the day! do you have anything from True Love(ME Sargent) or True Gospel(True Gospel)? Those were some of the singingest, spirit filled Baptist churches in Dallas. I really miss the old days. Bless you for the memories.
All I read in the comments is that u don't get preaching like the good old days but I tell u I never heard noone preach like pastor GINO JENNINGS FROM FIRST CHURCH TRUTH OF GOD...
What's this argument about baptist and Pentecostal.... Where I'm from baptist and Pentecostal is the same thing... We sing the same songs.. We praise ... We worship.... We speak in tongues... We shout hallelujah, glory, praise god... Preaches PREACH ... We have deacons... We have ushers ... Someone tell me what the difference is in America ? I always just thought the difference was the name and how many branches of churches people have. Like for us in new zealand COGIC is the same as SAOG which is samoan assembly of god. And then samoan baptist is the same as first baptist in america.. But the difference between SAOG and samoan baptist was that SAOG had many churchs under one ruling while baptist had its own church and no other churches connected with it
Joshua. ..no they do not...I was raised Baptist. ..However i thank God for bring me in the Truth..Acts 2:38-42...However living in the last days..He (Jesus) will make anybody tell the Truth. ..
Brothers were tearing up the Carpet in the Church!!!! Shondo to the Brothers especially... Grandpa!!!! I never get tired of watching him praise God!!!!

Right, I'm Pentecostal. We hoop and holler at Prayer Service. But I have been to a few that don't hoop, holler, shout, nothing.
Christopher Johnson lol that's sad. But do baptist believe in the Holy Ghost evidenced by tongues? Cuz if it ain't the Holy Ghost doing the shouting, then the shouting is just in vain, done in the flesh.

Manny E. what caused the switch? And do baptists teach baptism of Holy Ghost like the Pentecostals?
whats the difference between baptist and pentacostal?
Lavette Gatlin
