    Very cool! And seeing the first boat mike built explains how you were able to build this one so quickly.

    So how would you rate the 18” of bridge deck clearance? Do you have any pounding/slapping in rougher conditions? Thanks, John

      If we take four footers or more head on there’s quit a bit of slamming but if we take the waves at a slight angle it doesn’t slam. It also depends how far apart the waves are. Thank you for watching!

    Not home built. The boat is custom made. Did you get a final weight? I am building the same boat, but demountable. I like the lifelines, are they carbon? Did she make her lines or bow a bit high? So many questions about performance..congrats on marriage as well.

      Also, would like to know who insured her for you.

      @@danfall1003 We did 99% of the work..friends helped a few days when needed. Even rigged the motors ourselves. We hired no one for the entire project.
      It has not been weighed yet. We launched it at a boat ramp. We will be hauling out this winter and will get a weight at that time. We have seen your build thread. You are quite the perfectionist. You could build airplanes. I try to balance quality and build time. Our boat is not perfect but it is presentable. The life line stanchions are carbon fiber tubes purchased from eBay. They go through the deck and are glassed underneath. It sits a bit stern high if anything, partly due to the extra 2ft added to rear. In calm conditions medium load it runs 16 mph 3.5 mpg statute miles, 4000-4200 rpm. heavy load about 3mpg 16 mph. Slow cruise 9mph 4.5 to 5 mpg props are the lowest pitch I could buy, 14x9 pitch 3 blade aluminum. Currently uninsured. Can be a pain with home built boats. Hope this helps. Best of luck with your build.

    video sound is soft, then loud music,this makes it difficult to listen to softly when the wife is sleeping

    • @darlajean1045
      @darlajean1045  3 роки тому

      I put the music at 50% and the voiceover parts at 130% and the music still sounds too loud to me as well. You think with all the technology they would have some sort of sound equalizer in the video editing apps. Thanks for watching anyways! I’m far from a professional UA-camr lol

      self also far from doing any decent edeting
      Was trying to watch, and when the volume goes so high, it wakes up the wife, speacialy after i had turned up the volume to hear the voice conversation
      Self use Davinci resolve to editid, and that is full of features to play with sound levels
      like your boat, and the home build idea
      we have sailing plans, which might include a power boat - havent made up my mind yet
