You good sir are a legend i had a problem with the roof it wouldn't shut all the way down but did managed to get into the roof to put it back up manually, i realise it was low on hydraulic fluid but the boot close before i had chance to tighten the bleed screw and pull the cover back so glad the boot was empty thank you so much you save me a small fortune.
Thank you very much man, you helped me with my big problem. The oficial peaugeot workshops at portugal doesnt know what to do they want to cut my car by inside the doors, spend thousand of euros amd destroy my car to only fix the lock, was insane, but thanks to you i was able suggest to other workshop open it, thank you and god bless, big hug !!!!!!
Just happened to me but boot was full of fishing tackle so had to cut hole back of number plate and boot card and put my hand in boot and open it that way . Fab YouTubing I was dead in the water without you👍👍👍
Hi Richard Can u give any advise how u did this as I’m currently in your position but my boot is ful of all my horse riding stuff and carrots 🤢 I’m not sure if I can attempt this myself or I need to get a garage to do it ? Thanks
with the CC this problem often results from a faulty roof, which was not moved to the either fully open or closed position (i.e. until the display says roof operation complete) after the fault occured. While the roof is in between, the roof ECU inactivates the Boot Switch, so that nobody can open the boot while the roof is in operation. While your solution is quite keen, I fear that it may not work, if the roof or baggage is inside the boot. Therefore I connected a wire directly to the boot lock (Pin 1) and pulled it to the inside of the car. Connecting 12V will open the boot under all circumstances.
This is such a pain in the arse job. What isn't mentioned is you cant see the hole in the release because of the trim...locked my only key fob in the boot by mistake...I am so thankful I tied a loop of nylon cord through the hole to dangle down - in my case a broom handle with a headed screw did the trick...
Try sitting in the car, doors closed, lock and unlock the car from inside using the padlock button on the dashboard. Then get out and boot should be unlocked. Sometimes theres a thing where you need to hold the button down for a few seconds. But worked for me. Peugeout 207 cc convertible
Thank you Steve and others. I will attempt to deal with this problem tomorrow by cutting a hole behind the number plate. Any advice on best way to do this and any pitfalls to avoid? Thanks. Bill
Steve thanks for the video.... can you tell me if you've had problems will the plastic guard over the roof mechanism? Mine keeps coming loose! Any advice or opinions would be really appreciated
Hi Steve, Great video thanks. BTW did you sort out why the boot lock actually didn't work in the first place? What did you need to do to fix it? What parts or was it a broken wire?
@@duncandogbox HaHa yeah, thanks for your reply!!! I had the same issue recently on a 207 cc too, it must be a design fault! Last year I had an issue with the BMW E90 sedan, but at least you can get the boot open with the key!
Even cutting a hole behind behind number plate does not give easy access. I gave up and cut the wire going into the catch and hooked them up to a 12v battery, this triggered the micro switch which opened the lock. Once the boot was open I checked the releasing slot at the back of the catch and even with easy access for the screwdriver it wouldn't budge. So that method would not have worked for me. I think you need to be a bit lucky to succeed with the broom stick method. If I'd cut more material away I could have got to the connector and avoided cutting the wires.
Easier method: - Get in the car - Close all doors - Lock the doors with the button on the dashboard - Unlock the doors with the same button - Get out of the car - Open the boot normally. The lock will work now. At least, this does it for me.
Neil I took a risk and found away to fix something neither a main dealer or Peugeot spealist could do and now I’m educating other people that it is possible to do ..... “it doesn’t always pay off”
Finally I see a video from a smart man thank you🙏. Others videos suggested to cut the metal behind the plate number 🤦♂️
Thank you glad it helped you

cyberbob the issue with this one was a broken wiring loom over the wheel arch ...common fault

You absolute beauty! I have just done this myself. 😅

The convertible roof wouldn’t work due to faulty wire to the lock so that didn’t work
Holy shit, this worked. Thanks!!

Rick Harga yes broken wire over wheel arch ns

Does this fix the lock or does is a new lock or electrics required.
No it gets you into the boot so you can then fix the break in the wiring over the nsr wheel arch

Please I need to know how can I open back seat of peugeot 207ccj
Have knocking noise is it roof
You're a possible Krypton factor contestant but there's a massive downside if that's the wife's broom handle you just killed.
Do you know what the actual problem was that needed fixing? If it was a broken wire how would u find out yourself?
I’m a car trader so after getting into the boot I had my auto electrician trace the fault to a broken wire over the N/S/R wheel arch …
Nice one mate, well impressed
Cheers
I know this was 6 years ago.
Im trying to open my bonnet.. I just cant find that lever under it
Any ideas on how to turn retractable mirror's off on this model ???
Terri Bryson no sorry
You would need to disable the Remote lock feature by using Peugeot Planet 2000. Takes about 3 mins to do.
If you move the passenger all the way to the front, can an adult person fit in the backseat?
Mmmm possible I would go and try one
Only if she is rather small.
Bummer. 😩

Tsa Szymborska won’t work with this fault as it’s a broken wire to lock that causes fault
It worked for me!! Thank you!!
👏👏👏
come and fix mine please....in London
Sorry I don’t do repairs unfortunately
So you stole the car on a part ex at a low price because of the problems of getting in the boot. car traders are the worst
