Eli I totally agree. I had fun making this video and reviewing it. I gave it 6 months of work to truly try it out. means a lot to me you took out time to watch the video. Thanks Eli!
Great video Ray! I just bought my Wescott XDrop to replace two heavy C stands as my portable backdrop. Much lighter and compact that my previous setup - fantastic product!
Good informational video, but one genuine question: Why would I want to use a backdrop vs a solid color wall that I can change in post? (beyond the whole "get it right in camera" idea)
@@zdarkophotography I’ve done some amazing headshots on plain walls at clients offices, but wainscoting and wall dividers don’t make it easy hahahah. So I guess that’s where the XDrop of any backdrop comes in handy. Always appreciate your support man! Thanks
Hell yeah, bought this based on your reco and loved it. Super light and easy to set up. Highly recommend.
Thanks for the great content Ray!
Thanks Nick! Knowing your workload is mostly RE and Commercial portraits the WC Xdrop surely should fit you best
Great video, Ray! The x-Drop system is awesome, especially with my students.

ABSOLUTELY!
Awesome video!! Was looking into this a while back but really couldn’t find an honest and in-depth review. Thanks for the info.
Jay! Thank you man. I love using it, yea some minor issues here and there but it works for me. Thanks for watching
Ordering this for myself for Christmas! Thanks Ray for recommending this!
You are going to love it. I use it for ALL of my headshot sessions and close up portrait sessions. Thanks for watching

🙌🏼 excellent choice. Thanks man
Your really good at this 👍🏽
I’m still trying so hard to not be awkward in my videos, but that means a lot to me. Thank you so much.
@@shootwithray nah… I feel you. You look natural and you have a good voice for it. I on the other hand look and sound weird in videos 😂🤣

Thanks! The backdrop is there for on location shoots that have textured walls or crappy walls
@@shootwithray ahh that would be a good reason! I'll have to look at picking up a set of these in the near future.

Great review!!
Thank you that means a lot!
Can you show us how to wirelessly tether to an Ipad?
I can make a video like this! Will add it to my list. Thank you so much
Today is your day :) at noon the video drops on how to wirelessly tether to an ipad. Thanks for the request. Glad I can finally make the video for you
i got the xdrop pro and it's definitely not wrinkle free. there's still creases in it. i spend more time in lightroom bluring that out.
Try running it in your dryer. I’ve never had that happen to me
@@shootwithray oh dang i never thought of that. will do!
I like it but it does take up space on the back end of it.
That’s true. However did you know you can take the leg on the bag and slide it up and then lean the whole setup against a wall? To conserve space
