If you connect the ROG to Ethernet the lag should reduce greatly. Provided you have a good home network it's much better than WiFi, even 6E, and your Ally will run cooler. Duplicating screens from the ROG limits your resolution to 1080p. You would be better off extending your ROG desktop to multiple screens and turning off the ROG Ally screen instead. Which willl reduce heat. I would also opt to host OBS off the gaming PC rather than the Ally, since that can be very demanding on the hardware. Which will help reduce the heat and latency experienced by the Ally.
All great advice but for my setup…. 1. My connection was all good on WiFi. 2. If I’m only streaming I don’t need anything over 1080. 3. My gameplay I’ll experience on screen 1 is 4K 4. True turning of the ROG display will help thermally ( but I have no issues)
Battery life is a bit better when streaming games for sure but you’ll notice a lag depending on connectivity. Personal preference but most time I’m on it I’m plugged in to get the extra power. When I’m on battery, once it’s low I’m pretty much all set for a game session.
first time seeing high quality video with such low subscribers. This account will blow up. Trust me! atleast 100k.
Wow, thanks!

Nice vid! Do you have any plans to create some gaming peripherals content?
I do. I have some stuff coming up I’d like to review.
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻great and informative videos thank you 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Appreciate your feedback! 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Amazing
Thank you!
I heard the battery life is rough. What the battery life if you stream/cloud game on the rog ally? Better than running the games directly on it

For steaming make a manual setting of 7 tdp. It gives me about 2.5-3 hours on a full charge.
Is it the z1 extreme or jus the z1
I’m pretty sure it works on the z1 since standalone streaming doesn’t require too many resources. But the one I’m using is the z1x
The ROG Ally X has the ram to get the job done far better fyi
Absolutely! That extra ram comes in handy I bet.
Peak trial and error 😭😭😭
Right!! It took some time but we figured it out haha.
