  • Sandeep Tandon from Quant MF suggests investing in defensive sectors such as FMCG and Pharma. The market is expected to remain volatile until the US elections. However, there is no indication of risk in the market based on current data. In the short term, there might be a shift of easy money from China to India. Tandon remains cautiously optimistic about the market.

Right played by Mr. Sandeep Tandon, during volatility just play safe.

You should've asked him how his funds are performing. 😂

But he mentioned he is "playing safe"; in other words, they do not want to go after returns during this time. Parag Parikh's manager said the same thing somewhere - that he "is quite happy underperforming"

Ha Ha ! I am no expert but I am led to beleive that post SEBI investigation start, they have become cautious in their portfolio allocation ! No idea how long this will last - not 100% sure but maybe they are holding more assets in cash or cash like assets with hardly any returns ! I have not given up on them yet and keeping my old investments as is but for sure I am diverting my new investments into other small caps which are showing growth

@@ranjansengupta5123 Yep same, although when HDFC, DSP were guilty, they came out fine on the other side (and Quant is not yet guilty, as far as public reports). I have around Rs.30L with them and only adding to my other funds now. Actually, his 10% cash in funds is potentially helping by taking care of asset allocation (although I have 26-30 years of time horizon) so I am not complaining either way. 😃

@@ranjansengupta5123With small caps already bloating and market telling that hunky dorry days are over, people like you who are still investing in small caps are the real khatro k khiladi.
      Salute to you Sir

@@siddharthrajawat89 No Sir ! Nothing of the sort ! I am no khatron ka khiladi ! I have investments in Large Caps, Mid Caps, Flexi Caps and Small Caps. Flexi Cap means the Fund Manager chooses the weightage of funds in Small, Mid and Large.... Market girega - yeh fact hai but the mixture of Large, Small and Mid - gives me some hedge against volatility. Baki I am in some experimental mode and I am also learning on a daily basis ! Dekhte hain ! Main thing is ghabrane ka nahin - sikhte rehne ka ! Jo bhaag gaya usko returns kabhi nahin milega ! Laage rehta padta hai aur dekhte rehna parta hai !
