We bought the A8D this year and we like it a lot. It is very efficient. For those interested in getting one, I do NOT recommend the lounger because your body will float. I would have preferred a tub with the deeper corner loungers.
Bought the R7 model about 4 months ago, absolutely love it. Have friends that have other brands, yes better lighting and waterfalls but for straight out power and massage nothing beats my bullfrog. I’m 6’3” and having the option to change the jetpacks to the deep seat is also invaluable. Plan to buy a couple extra jetpacks this year to even further my hot tub experience. Thank you for the video, you certainly hit the key points!
It’s called Endura I believe if you are talking about the frame and the bottom. Doesn’t rust, rot etc and won’t let critters chew into it and get inside. A friend end up with a raccoon taking up home under her cheap one that had to keep replacing the motors so she paid twice what she would have. You don’t want full foam with other hot tubs that have miles of plumbing because those miles of pipe lead to leaks and they destroy the foam fixing the plumbing and don’t repair it as per original. Biggest benefit is little plumbing they have plus those changeable seats to different depth. I like that I can get newer jets where on traditional hot tubs you are stuck with what you buy. On the bullfrog depending on maybe a bad back, neck, etc that you didn’t have at the beginning but 5-6 years later you want an easier jet or stronger jet. Need help with video - if this was the redo it still needs work.
Thanks for the comment. And verification. I don't think I need help on my videos. I'm not a professional nor do I claim to be one. I do my raw videos from a normal person point of view and offer non bias opinions. My reviews are from my real feelings and personal interaction. I do a lot of research and talk to a lot of mechanics. I just want to send out genuine review with no bull content on trying to sell someone something they don't want. But thanks for your input and concern I really do appreciate it. ❤
Appreciate your reviews! It's impossible to find real owner reviews of almost any spa brand so this is extremely helpful for anyone looking at these. Still would love to see the lighting in action if you have an opportunity to capture that.
Thanks yes it is impossible it's always a mocked up video telling everything you want to hear I like the real story so I try to give you the real story. I will be posting that sometime tonight
Hello - thanks for your details. I agree 100% with your thoughts but I do run into a slight issue. I can’t figure out how to get the waterfall removed so I can deep clean it. Today I broke the 2nd clip so I’m hoping to learn and then fix the clips before things start floating around. Thanks, Steve
@MrSteveSny you should be able to go underneath the water fall by removing the side panel on that side. Just make sure you remove power from your tub befor doing any work on it. I don't know how particular your tub is. To tell exactly how to do it. They change the design often. You can call your local bullfrog dealer and they should be able to walk you thru it. If not let me I'll try and help you as much as possible.
ordered an a8 in feb, won't get here until July :( but I cannot wait until I get a neck blaster, thanks for the details on the parts that are easy to replace!
@@lukebouma9292 don't make me more nervous and anxious than I already am :D - hoping that they worked through some of their manufacturing covid-related delays between then and Feb - but now that you have it how is it?
@@greenreviews3391 maybe they've changed options since. you made a nice choice. Also, I am 5'1 and 106 lbs. No lounger to try nearby... do you think I'll float 🤣
@Fancymaybe Thanks, the interior was a marbel finish I do know that. They may have changed I haven't checked in quite awhile.. since your even thinking of a lounger leads me to think this would be your first spa purchase. But you wouldn't float but the jets in the tub are pretty powerful my sis 5'6 maybe 150lbs has trouble with the jets pushing her out of the seats. She has to put her feet on the foot well to keep her self in the seat lol . So you might get pushed around a bit lol 😆
Thorough review and you may have mentioned but how do you like the headrests? One consistent constructive criticism I've read about higher end bullfrogs is uncomfortable headrests do they limit your experience?
Well to be honest I've never gave it thought cause I'm mostly always to tall for every seat so the head rest never sits right in the first place but to fully answer your question in the seat I love the head rest has never bothered me at all they are pretty soft to the touch as some as outdoor rubber can be I guess and kinda squishy hope that helped Thanks,
Hi Green Reviews. Excellent video and thank you for the suggesting Spa Marvel. I did some research on it and it pretty much gets rave reviews across the board. I do have a question with respect to your setup and Spa Marvel as I'm going to be buying a Bullfrog soon as well. I'm curious if you purchased the Wellspring Ozone or the EOS (Enhanced Ozone System)? And if you purchased either of those how well do they get along with the Spa Marvel? Also curious if you're still using the Frog @Ease system, and if so, have you noticed a reduction on the amount needed? The Frog @Ease system seems kind of spending so I was hoping to reduce my dependence on it as much as possible. Thanks!
I did not get the ozone or the eos I learned through my research they don't do too much in reality. It's just a marketing gimmick to me at this point. I use and " aftermarket" frog @ ease not the bullfrog type due to its Proprietary refills. Frog@ease makes the same thing just looks different I have the floater where befor I was using bromine on level 2,3 depending on the amount of usage and the Minerals on max.. after I started using spa marvel I keep the bromine on 0 and the minerals on max it use alot less bromine after using spa marvel. I'm going to do a video on the and jet pack real soon. Any other questions feel free to ask. Thanks
@@greenreviews3391 Thanks! I do have a few more quesitons if you don't mind. I noticed that you're using the yellow bromine cartridges in the floating system and the Frog system for BullFrog uses the silver SmartChlor triangle cartridges in the filter. However, I did see that they make silver SmartChlor tubes for the floating system like you have as well. I'm curious if you like the SmartChlor or Bromine better as a sanitizer? Or can't you tell the difference? Bromine is definitely cheaper. Just wasn't sure. And then I was curious if you still have your bromine cartridge set to 0? And if so how long do you think it lasts on your A7 before it needs replacing? I've read that the original SmartChlor ones last about 15 days on an A8 on level 4, so hoping to get a lot more longevity out of them set to 0 with SpaMarvel. Thanks!
@@waterprosurge the smart clor is the exact same as the frog@ease system ones not better then the next I went with frog@ease just cause it's real easy to get at my local store and yes it is still set to 0 I get around a month out of it. @@greenreviews3391 Excellent and thank you for the quick responses! I think I'm going to do the same thing and go the bromine route as I think I've read the same thing as you have on bromine being a little better on the skin and not as harsh. I also saw a few videos on here of people hacking into the yellow bromine cartridges and just refilling them with 1" bromine tablets. When my tub comes in, I think I'm going to try that as well. Do you use shock at all? If so, curious how much do you use and how often? I assume you use a bromine shock as well and not chlorine shock?
@@waterprosurge yes with bromine you have to use a non chlor oxidizing shock I use 1oz for a 500gl tub. But shocking frequency as like intervals all depends on the user's alone if never use it then once a week if perfect but the more you use it the you need it is something you have to just get the feel for yourself and for your family just keep testing to maintain that 1ppm or what ever you wish
Right now probably best to save your money the market is super crazy atm but if you can't wait make sure you shop around then research more then shop again to make sure you get the best price for exactly what you want. Are far as prices everything is way up supply chains are short which drives up raw material. So in the long run drives up finished product .. best advice I can give you is wait till the market settles down.
No it really depends on what seats I have there. If I have a seat where it's not pressure and more water it does seam to be weaker but it never bother me cause the stupid thing pushes me out the seat already

Come to think since you just got it. It could have air in the lines if you mechanic inclined and feel safe you can open the front and on the left side motor there is a pump on it with a little black plug near the bottom you can open that for a bit with the jet setting on high it should push the air out and just see a steady stream of water coming out
