Hi, thanks for the video. I'm a radio producer, audio designer. Can the VO be recorded over instrumental music and SFX? I mean like we do on the Radio?
Hey, I mean you can do what you want for the custom audio as you would for a podcast for example, and you’re subject to the same copyright laws etc. But the VO/music files you arrange in Spotify for Podcasters will just play in sequence so you can’t overlap your VO with a tune you pick from Spotify for instance
I already upload my audio on the right side, but when I tried to add and drag the music to the right, it turns out didn’t show anything there? 😮
Do you mean the Music tab doesn’t appear at all, or it’s there but you can’t drag anything across?
I have been trying to do this but can’t seem to upload the music- maybe it’s a new account and I have to create the music list first, but it doesn’t show up as an option for me to add .
Looks like they changed the UI a little bit - when you click New Episode, do you see a page with a heading called "Need to build an episode?" and a button that reads 'Record or edit' under it? If you click that button, it'll take you to the page that I showed on the video, and you can add your own files or find music under the 'music' tab on the left
hi@@arbitersofsound i'm checking this on my laptop again- the thing is, they don't allow any of the features you mentioned at all, especially uploading music on the left. There is not other option except to upload my talkset, and they allow only 1 talkset despite me trying to click + drag all my talk sets over for 1 episode. FYI, I did my episodes on AUDACITY although recorded for radio, and i wanted to retain the same radio show format for spotify but alas, in vain. Advice please? Would love to show you the screenshot here but not sure how.
ah hah! I clicked on CREATE NEW EPISODE and i finally see it. Let me do the upload again and revert back. I don't record my audio here, i record them in the studio, the audio files are in mp3. format and let me report back once i'm done so others will have a better idea.
@@chergal9370 Ah nice! I was going to ask which country you were in because I think the feature isn't available in all regions, but glad you found it :) and yeah let us know if it works for others!
hi@@arbitersofsound - guess what, I'm definitely not able to upload music, after trying many times - which countries is this feature available in? I only have 4 menu items that's excluding music. This has def been holding me back on my podcast sigh.

Yeah the songs just play through Spotify so unless you put music clips in your speaking sections then you should have no problems
