A view from the UK. A couple of things Archie. 1, No way are most of those boats they are calling 'Tenders' actual Tenders. To most boaters tenders can be recovered onto the mother boat when not in use. 2, To those drooling over those 600hp Mercury outboards think fuel economy. There was a boat with 5 of them on the stern. At 5000rpm they drink 3GALLONS of fuel a nautical mile EACH. 5 x 3 = 15 gallons a mile. Not bad for just whizzing up and down the coast huh?
