Reward: Human-Plus
How: Keep failing too much missions until you have a debt of -50,000 credits. A cutscene will play. Result was that the credits will reset back to zero but you can still keep the parts bought from the shop, and continue playing as normal.
Try it out for yourself newbies, if you dont believe me
Other examples:
If you lose a few times back to back in Brawl Stars, you eventually get in a round with Bots which is an easy win
On console: most Fnaf Games will grand you an achievement for the first jumpscare you got in this game
in TABS, one of the achievements is called: "HAHAHAHAHAHA" to get it you need to lose a campaign battle 10 times in a row

4:46: To clarify for Dark Souls 2 this isn’t how it works. The pursuers shown are in NG+ meaning you don’t even fight them normally. Getting cursed does NOT make them go away, the real way is to run out of the door and when one of them is in an attack animation come back in. This despawns the other pursuer because it only registers one enemy fighting in the room. I say this because I know some Bearer of the Curse will die from this
You should also clarify that NG+ means “New Game +” where you restart the entire game but keep stats and equipment
In I am Bread, if you die repeatedly, at some point a magic marmalade will spawn and if you reach it, you'll be invincible for the rest of the level
Thats like that magic leaf in mario 3d world, gives the same perk but u r invincible

In my school vr game, if you suck as Goalius, Queen Nova will be playable, and she's broken (1 of the most powerful characters in the game), and if you suck as Nogara, Mega Elimentor will be playable and holy hell hes packing power
Jumping off in borderlands is actually beneficial, you mentioned you get eridium which is good, you dont get any if u dont jump

In several Mario games that have that "mercy" feature, seeing the game's mercy feature means that you are actually completely locked out of 100%; a fair bit of the time not even for *using* the feature, but merely for having it come up in the first place. As such, in those instances, I'd say that's more of a punishment for sucking than a reward for sucking.
In SMB Wii, with the Luigi one, if you click a button (+ or - i think) it will let you play AS Luigi. This does not change anything and normal rules apply. You change to Mario after the level.
4:20 it also gives you the invincible Tanuki suit if you die five times in super Mario 3-D land but if you die five more times, it gives you the p-acorn which teleports you to the end of the level immediately after use in your items slot

In Metal Gear Solid if you fail the ketchup puzzle, the Ninja will open the cage when the soldier is in the bathroom.
The Lost Vikings 2 is a puzzle game(Sort of) for the Genesis and SNES. If you manage to die on the first level, which is actually impossible without trying(like literally), the game unlocks a super powered mode, which gives all the playable characters extra powers, mostly allowing you to skip some platforming and combat challenges throughout the game.

I think Ninja Gaiden applies, if you die too many times in the first level, you can unlock ninja dog mode and in that mode, anytime you get messages from Ayane, those messages come with unique items to help you in the game, mostly stat boosters and healing perks to be equipped.
Downside is that you always get ninja dog rank whenever you finish a level, which is basically the worst score.
Someone roasts the MC in that game!
Borderlands 2 has two of these! The other one is if you take too long to defend the beacon , they just skip the whole mission.

Uh T5G , in mario 3d world , they give you a white tanooki leaf , as the bell can only be obtained via amiibo.
So they give you a tanooki and not a bell
and in 3d land, if you die 10 times in a row, you get a p-wing that teleports you straight to the goal

one game that ABSOLUTELY does not fall under the games that reward people that lose is Five Nights at Freddy's: security breach... now everyone does fail in that game from time to time but I am so bad at it that I got a total of around 20 game overs and I wasn't even close to getting to the first boss...

Fable 2: Fable 2 is known for its hilarity and stupid things to do. This includes the final boss, Lord Lucian. At the end of the day, he's just a man with bad intentions, so he dies after a single hit. If you suck at this, Reaver eventually wakes up and kills Lord Lucian for you. Thanks, buddy.
Super Smash Bros: Super Smash Bros is a very popular game, and they're added Final Smashes not too long ago. If you're suck so bad at the game, the developers would feel so bad for you that they'll respawn you with your Final Smash ready to go.
In West of Loathing, if you lose enough fights, you'll start gaining experience with each fight you lose.

Just coming by to say Mario 3D Land does the same thing as Mario 3D World If you die 5 times then you'll get a white tanooki suit. However! If you somehow still fail to complete the level more times the p wing will appear allowing you to skip over the ENTIRE level and straight to the flag pole.
