      @@TekShinji I do have one issue with it that after a power or internet loss it can get stuck. And I have too manually reboot it. Apart from that its a good board. As long as you can get it under 150 as you said.

      Interesting, I never had that problem myself. Kind of makes sense though, managing all those GPUs with a tiny little laptop processor can overwhelm it and cause other issues.

    All my mining motherboards are BTC. By the way the one in the video is BTC-T37, the BTC-S37 is longer and has more space between slots (still I use risers on at least 4 slots). These are all cheap low quality mining boards but they get the job done. However I have encountered issues such as it being super slow to install anything since the CPUs are usually low end and processing takes forever. Also CPU goes to 100% when mining just processing the distribution of shares to be mined. Overall I give the 50% out of 100% (you get what you pay for), but definitely low budget to get you started.

    • @TekShinji
      @TekShinji  3 роки тому

      Yeah that's part of the reason why I don't use it lol. You get what you pay for yes, but also you don't get what you pay for because they're inflated in price.
      It is super slow. And thanks for pointing out that it's a BTC t37 how do you know the difference between them?

  • @podwardog

    Great vid man! Love the rebtech, i haven't seen one for less than 800usd used no less. The btc-S37 board model has greater spacing for the cards than the reg 37, and will run off a server power supply with only 6pin connections. Still i usually go with a cheap x470 gaming motherboard with 6 pcie slots and use a slipper...Though i've had good luck with generic Chinese 8 and 12 gpu mining boards, but delivery time takes forever..lol

    • @TekShinji
      @TekShinji  3 роки тому

      Yeah the only thing that I might even recommend about these is that they're able to do up to eight cards no problem generally at least and they're relatively affordable regarding the rest of the markets mining hardware

    Great video, I could see a bunch of 1660's being used on that board without too much issue, mostly short cards with less mass, so cooling them with 120mm fans would be functional. I do agree about the big ol floppy board being an issue. a guy would want to get that board mounted some how for sure.

    • @TekShinji
      @TekShinji  3 роки тому

      I mean yeah it's a decent board. I personally don't like it myself but for a lot of people and maybe very practical because of the cost and form factor. It's basically designed for a server case that has cajillion cfm fans lol

    • @TekShinji
      @TekShinji  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, I agree. It's basically 2.25 slot distance between each card. Barely enough to let any air by. Apparently the one I have is a BTC 37T. I mean it's a fine board I just don't like them myself when there's other better alternatives. However when you can't get them where they cost quadrillion dollars... Well, this could do.

    • @TekShinji
      @TekShinji  3 роки тому

      Theoretically, as long as you don't exceed the motherboard's PCIe Lane limitation, you should be fine. But those things have been either hit or miss.

  • @JakeSmith-mn7pg

    I just got this motherboard and was wondering if it was okay to use daisy chained wires for the side pcie slots? I’m trying to use 5 gpus with varying 2/3 pcie slots and was planning to use dual power supplies and have 2 daisy chained power 4 of the side slots.

    • @TekShinji

    There are many versions of this same board s37 t37 d37, I read somewhere one of them have interconnected pcie power making it unsafe to use two psus. I just aquired 2 t37's. I'm hoping this one isn't interconnected as im using 2 power supplies. I just need moar pcie power! I didn't want one psu powering just the board as that makes it pretty useless power wise. (432w + what ever the cpu uses if all risers pulling 54w). I only found info for my t37 on one reddit page reguarding the risers power and they're not interconnected according to that post. Hoping all is good, and yeah the spacing causes huge cooling issues. i pretty much have to have a box fan on each of these rigs unless i want 90+ mem temps.

      It's very difficult diagnose problems like that over UA-cam comments. I recommend joining our discord and reaching out there.

      Make sure the ram is properly installed and everything is powered properly.
