Rambling About Nintendo Directs

- Nintendo Direct can leave people with strong memories. Whether they're good or bad is another question. Thought I'd talk about the fun way Nintendo's been delivers gaming news for years.

I like that it's streamlined, but i miss the fun. The personal touches of the older directs made them all unique and interesting
I feel the same way about the directs. Some of the current ones are FIRE, some are sleepers, but I’ll ALWAYS miss the old ones with Reggie, Iwata, and everybody else in them. I made my own video about the old magic of nintendo too about a month ago and it’s one of my best performing videos so it’s pretty safe to say a bunch of other people agree too lol. Great video man 👍🏼

I'm from the UK and our directs have more personality because we don't have corny voice overs with Koizumi and Takahashi
I guess results vary depending on the region
One of my favorite skits was the one for the galaxy new 3DS XL 5:56 that's the model I own hehe

They no longer feel DIRECT.
Sure, there are more cool announcements than ever (because Switch has more games than ever).
But I miss authors sharing their outlooks on the games directly, being pationate about their games. I miss some of the admittedly childish skits.
It feel super corporate now. Yeah, NIntendo are a corporation, I did not just realise it. That does not mean that they should be bland and sterile.
My favourite presentation each year is Devolver presentation. I rarely play anything Devolver and would almost certainly not care for their games I see, but I am glued to the screen, watching day 1 nonetheless. Why? Because they allow themselves to be goofy and imaginative. That's something that Nintendo stopped doing in the Switch era. And as succesfull the console is, as bad the Directs are. Directs now are just a bunch of trailers. You could easily upload only the trailers after the presentation and you would not lose that much.
The new directs are much better and you idiots said the samething when nintendo started doing directs over on stage presentations
