@@pokez09 The way I see it, and how I understand, is that is works like Hammond's Pile drive. You have to be a certain height over the ground to activate it. I am unfortunately unable to check to see the exact height but I am gonna reckon its about 4-6m above the ground to borrow without the animation

@trentonthomas3127 her ult makes you knock up. Her primary fire has a knock back effect. When she pops up off the ground she knocks you too. Her secondary fire boops you around.
She might not stun you, but she pushes you around a lot
They* besides, most of the cc that was removed came back. Mei’s slow was *incredibly* buffed for like 4 seasons, hinder was given to Cass, brig regained stun on shield bash, etc

Oh btw the dash is insane, i had to touch on Samoa as queen so i tried to ult through the enemy team to both get there and get me some sustain but i got blocked by the dash cause its got insane knockback and then got bursted instantly.
as a queen main yesterday was hell for me, so much knockback despite tanks having the passive that should negate a lot of boop and knockbacks. Its frustrating for a character to come out and have an amazing escape, an amazing knockback, amazing damage and a punishing ult, plus like two extra passives with the shields bit.

@@Nick-ki9hh It can be frustrating but I think it's a good thing that the hero has a high skill ceiling, imagine if they just made another hero that has a skill ceiling on the floor. They certainly can cause some issues with all their utility but once you force those abilities they are pretty vulnerable, kinda reminds me of the old dps doomfist days with how much burst you can do but only if you hit your abilities.

the best thing about venture are the combos for kills
the combos do insane damage, especially if you start with a sneaky burrow flank (burrow reloads your gun btw)
the challenging part is the cooldown rotation
plus you cant be healed in mole form, but it does 55 - 110 dmg so you can use it as a finisher like the melee, or a starter for ez 200+ damage
also if you dash off a ledge in burrow you go super far

@@jaysonsolorzano7179No it doesn’t, being underground makes them immune to all damage and healing, and it even cleanses status effects!
@@jaysonsolorzano7179 As far as I know, there are only three ways to heal while underground and that is from a zen harmony orb, a health pack, or the passive healing, but the passive healing kicks in after 5 seconds so you will only benefit if you waited at least one second before taking damage to burrow

@@bohdanpyzh2712 there is a one shot on venture but is very hard to do and the amount of hits you do, u have to get very close to one shot. It does one shot 250hp targets easier to do on lower HP targets
Venture is lots of fun, but I'd say before release that the only changes would be lower the damage, even by like 10, but increase the range.
Honestly I’d like to see the drill dash get an extra 2 or so meters if range. It feels like it never goes as far as I want it to

I think Venture may genuinely be the most well balanced and fun character we've seen come out of OW2 since LAUNCH, at least right out of the gate like this. They have an identity and feel like someone who would've fit right in during early OW1 days. Their kit is simple and fair with a healthy amount of counterplay to it, and nothing feels particularly oppressive. Their ult, while extremely strong, is easily nullified by line of sight, aerial mobility, and shields. (Not to mention a few other actually oppressive CC cooldowns) Say what you will but I think Team 4 did a good job with this hero's mechanics.

@@unknodaemon9220 I thought the dash and burrow looked clunky af in the clip, but the aoe on emerge is decent, and after realizing you can dash up, the kit really comes together. If I have any complaint, it's that the ult doesn't quiite blend well enough with burrow, but it's still great.
I feel like Venture might be a good replacement for Mei when it comes to brawl/rush comps, but if they can slap Junker Queen out of the fight easily, then Brawl vs Brawl comps wont be a thing sadly

As someone who remembers hearing the wave of slurs when Seer was released in Apex Legends, I can't wait to see all of this toxicity from the sidelines. Venture looks like fun, but they're ultimately gonna end up being a broken mess in a patch with the Team 4 track record

I like Venture for how simple they are. I understand the feeling of needing to one up your previous creations. But sometimes it’s nice to just make a character that doesn’t have some super complicated mechanics or some really specific techs needed to play them. Venture is relatively straightforward hero with mechanics that are easy to figure out and feels good to play.

So this hero has movement, vertical movement, invulnerability, burst damage, consistent damage and a crazy ult.
I think the thing that made the original characters fun was that you had to sacrifice certain things to get other things, no character had it all. Whereas the modern heroes can do near enough everything and it makes the game feel very one dimensional and monotonous.
Just take tank for instance, you had rein: protects team, good up close damage, minimal movement and essentially zero ranged damage. Winston: less up close damage, zero ranged damage great movement and protects team. Hog: one shot ability and self heal but he has no team protection, no movement and is an ult battery. Most of the hero roster had push and pull, positives and negatives, and they were big positives and negatives, whereas now the positives and negatives between two characters are minimal, everyone can do everything... fuck kiriko btw, the character does everything it's stupid
Have you tried them yet? They're pretty bad on maps with long sightlines. You even saw it in this video where Flats struggled on Shambali. The gun's range is really short and while it has an AOE, it's much tighter than it seems when watching a video.

The best way for me to describe Venture’s damage is Sigma spheres with a touch of Zarya splash effect and the feel of Pharah’s rockets and projectile speed. Overall Venture is a very good addition to the roster, they feel pretty good and the output seems to be consistent.

Eh... they're not OP at this point in my limited playtime this weekend. I think they might be okay as-is. They're not even viable on a lot of maps, but seem pretty good on maps with any sort of close quarters.
Yeah I saw some people even saying that Venture needed to be tuned up a little bit. They're a really fun character with a great kit I think, but it's going to take some time to understand how they really land on the tier list.

@@Azal423I agree with most of your message except that it is pretty important. There needs to be more non-binary acceptance. It is important because misgendering fictional characters on purpose, totally sets the message that non-binary people are not valid. Think about it this way too. Venture's voice actor is non-binary and has already made a statement that it's not cool to misgender the character. Venture's voice actor goes by any pronouns. However, Venture does not so it is important to just use the proper pronoun for the character. You wouldn't purposefully call any character in the game by a different name or pronoun. Don't do it to Venture. It's just immature. And I don't care if people do it on accident and the correct themselves. I've done that to non-binary friends of mine that used gender neutral pronouns and it feels bad. I don't like it. I just correct myself. I'm also nonbinary lol Even I make mistakes on occasion

Ventures shield health can be healed back up through normal means like supports or health packs during its duration, unlike overhealth. It will also auto regen if you aren’t taking damage like how normal shield health would.

Venture idk if its intentional, but I noticed if you dig into the cart it stops it, while you are pushing it.
It stops because you can't contest while underground. If an ally is nearby it will continue to move as normal.

I believe her shift ability should be a bit reworked, as she’s got basically two ways of escaping from team fights. Seems a bit unbalanced ngl
They need to be within 18 metres to do any damage at all, you're almost always gonna be engaging with one ability. They literally have one less escape ability than old Doomfist.

In English, the singular "they" can be used in reference to someone who's gender is unknown or ambiguous. This character is non binary, meaning they neither identify with man or woman, so the gender neutral "they" is the appropriate pronoun.
