- The Armed Forces of the Philippines and the United States Indo-Pacific Command hold joint air and sea patrols in the West Philippine Sea. It's the second time for the two forces to patrol the area together - the first was in November 2023.

U are still in your wet dream, the Chinese navy is holding their own drills at the same time. The so called US carrier chickened out and never join PH-US joint patrol. PH will be thrown away like tissue paper if it dares to fire the first shot.

While doing this joint exercises why not let the resupply mission to Ayungin must be included in the operation. Let see if bullying will be stopped
I pray that the Americans will be there , when we the Philippines needed them most. Ex. Would they protect us during building a permanent infrastructures on Ayungin shoal? Better if they would also help financed the infrastructures for possible joint use. Only a permanent infrastructures will prove our sovereignty on the shoal. Note Vietnam hv been continuously building islands n they hv 14 already aside for 3 more being build.

The original plan was to show american support for Philippine,.it involved 4 Philippines warships and armada of an American aircraft carrier plus 3 support ships.
On the day of joint exercise only 3 Phillipinp warships appeared, with only one American navy destroyer sailed behind the phollipinos. not far behind were 2 Chinese navy destroyers shadowing the lot. Chinese satelites showed no american carrier in sight, apparently the American chicken out at last minute.
Marcos junior was aghast at the American for broken promises and threw tantrums at his generals, the phillipino generals were speechless, they felt conned by the American, imagine when a real war broke out the phillipinos fate is sealed.
It was later found out the American aircraft carrier had a minor problem with its catapult launching mechanism, this is a big headache for the American as its fleet of aircraft carriers are getting old, its launching system tend to jam up every after 20 launches, this will be disaster in real war situation. After 2 days the phillipinos had enough of it and called an end to the debacle, but it declared the joint exercise a happy success.

@@Winters777 , PH navy and Air Force is almost non existent and the army weaponries are so under equipped that it can barely handle only internal rebels. I know because I have trained with PH military. U think US will fight for u guys in exchange for bananas??? Do u have billions like South Korea and Japan to pay for protection money??? US carrier which is supposed to turn up in the joint drill chickened out the moment they realised CCP is holding a navy and air force drill in the same area! Do not be naive and play with your citizens lives. War is deadly and PH is in not position at all to fight a cross territory war! When war starts, u guys will not even be able to afford gutter oil. Think again!
