Yup, they interviewed a young lady on the CNN who has participated in this 'event'.
She thinks that her participation is the crowning event of her life. before this, she says, no one knew what Palestine was.
They still don't know, because these 'instituions of 'higher learning'have not enlighteneed them; or if they tried, the message was not received.
Palestine is a REGION, not a nation. They should have been taught about the British Mandate over Palestine, and the Ottoman Turkish Empire before that, and so forth, back into the deep recesses of Biblical history and prehistory.
They might learn, among other things, that much of historical Israel is under Arab occupation.
And it is God, not the 'Palestinians', Who owns the land:

According to Reuters, Columbia University President Nemat Minouche Shafik never gave Permission for the protesters to camp and carry out a demonstration on Campus Property, so hey, they deserve to be arrested and charge for Trespassing, and lucky for them, the United States is not like how Russia deals with protesters, when in Moscow 2022, when thousands of Russian Anti-War Protesters were arrested, charged and sent to prison for 10-15 years.
It's a protest, genius. They expect to be arrested. It made national news, gaining more converts to the cause of Palestinian freedom, and putting even more pressure on Grandpa Joe to bring Israel to heel or risk losing voters with moral convictions against genocide. The heavy-handed police action didn't help the Israeli side. Pretty typical for Israel and the Israel lobby, actually.

It really all stems from the structure of these colleges as they have so much minority demographic support in high administrative positions that make decisions which really do not align with the consensus. Despite all this protest, this is still a minority albeit a LOUD one. However most people really are there to just go to school and go home and live out their lives very chill. So perhaps it will start with some accountability!!! These people must be held responsible for these absurd and incredulous demonstrations that are anything but peaceful. My father has a PhD, my husband has a PhD and there's literally not one family member that hasn't graduated from University. I was born during the War and our Armenian Christian neighbor in IRAQ has helped my mother deliver me safely in the house.

Go travel an Muslim country or visit a local mosque/ Orthodox Church. This is not the 2000s, you have access to all the Information you really want!

The report was vague but it sounded like it was more then people protesting a war. It sounds like they were camping out and harassing people. Free speech doesn't mean you get to cause disruption.
