I want a show co-hosted by Ayoade and Acaster, with the premise that both believe they are the host and the other is their sidekick.
100% yes to this
Yes please!
Omg, the delivery would be sooo weird
I think it’s a good premise, however something tells me it would be more accurate if Richard was the host and James, the sidekick yet both believed the opposite.
Yes! A British adaptation of On Cinema At the Cinema! With cameos by Tim and Greg, hopefully.
No nation does quirky comedians better than Great Britain. They really are some of the best.
New Zealand. There's one.
I absolutely agree with this. Richard Ayoade, James Acaster, Lee Mack, David Mitchell, Sean Lock, Jack Dee, Bill Bailey are all case in point.
@@reach2prasanna Jack Whitehall, Katherine Ryan
@@shukhada6664 Jack Whitehall is ok, but Katherine Ryan, well not so much. At least in my opinion.
@@reach2prasanna I agree but I felt Katherine's points are hard hitting which is why I like her. Whiteney Cummings too
Richard Ayoade is the most Richard Ayoade of all the Richard Ayoade's speaking at the BAFTAs this year.
...and this will be the last time this Richard Ayoade will speak at the BAFTAs unless they run out of other Richard Ayoades to speak at the BAFTAs.
I am not Richard Ayoade and I approve this message.
You can say that again!
@@michaelrice500 Certainly! Richard Ayoade is the most Richard Ayoade of all the Richard Ayoade's speaking at the BAFTAs this year.
And thank you!
@@DennisMoore664 And a Richard Ayoade to you also, good sir!
I love Richard Ayoade. He’s so dry, but his lines are very clever. He doesn’t rely on swearing, which makes a change for many comedians. One of the best.
I really loath people who swear, I think it's a fucking shame..
@@simonvanderheijden432 lmaooooo
Richard has been known to say flip.
It also helps if you imagine that he is doing well.
@@krashd LOL
Richard has a different brand of comedy that's so incredibly unique, funny and clever all at the same time. He barely puts down any individual, apart from himself, rather he takes it on the entire audience.
He's a comedic genius.....love Richard and his special brand of humour!
i think he's also a regular genius outside of comedy
Is anybody else in love with Richard Ayoade?
❤️
Yes, but in a purely hetero plutonic way.
Yepp
@@LeleXrina1 that robotic charm! ❤️
( seriously that intelligence and sense of humour combined are irresistible) !
Tasteful and still super witty!!! Richard Ayoade is on a different level!! 😄👏
This made me smile. Plus, my face lit up when I saw Graham Norton in the audience.
I don't know if he writes his own stuff, but MAN! does he know how to deliver his lines!!!
He writes his own books; I imagine he still writes his own stuff.
I believe there's always a team effort between writers of the show and the presenter. It's important for the lines to go to the presenter's identity.
@@Diogo503 You're prolly right there.
Peace.
Ah Richard, he makes every thing better.
He's one of the very few comedians that can get a laugh from saying anything lmao
Joe Wilkenson is another… it’s all about the delivery mate
Such a shame he was never cast as the Doctor, he would've been amazing. Or alternately Matt Berry. Or Noel Fielding. So, basically anyone from the cast of the IT Crowd.
Matt Berry as The Doctor would be a wild show to watch.
Chris Morris
Yes, I can hear you, Davros...
@@PedroMouraLerBD "exteeeerminaaaate? You say this??"
He would have been a great doctor actually
This speech was so Richard Ayoade he almost meta-ed himself!
Ayoade should have been doctor who, he'd have been amazing
It is THE DOCTOR...not Doctor Who...the programme is Doctor Who...cor blimey what the actual feck...
@@datgrrl5698 Nerrrrd
@@LFCliid Did you really call a Dr Who fan a nerd? That's a first. Just kidding.
Except he has no interest in playing that role.
And that DoctorWhoing is more than looking askance at things and making a dry comment.
He'd have been/could be a great recurring assistant role.
He still could be. He could still have lots of opportunities--the Doctors never stick around for more than three series.
My favourite Ayoade-joke has to be on 'The Big Fat Quiz' when the question was: "According to the movie 'Scream', what three things should you never do if you want to survive a horror movie?" and he begins with "Make a Citizen's arrest". I remember him making himself laught at that one and breaking his normal deadpan character.
Been trying to find this one, which Quiz was it??
@@Perrygallo Not sure, unfortunately. I know his teammate was Noel Fielding, but they been on the same team like five times so...
@@Perrygallo Found it. Big Fat Quiz of Everything 2017,
@@christiannovak-zemplinski9749 oh fair play, will give it a look. Thanks
What a great, witty host. I hope he's back next year.
Pretty sure he clearly said that this would be the last time he hosts these awards
@@mikepriestey2547 “. . . unless for some reason they ask me back.”
@@markgorman1951 Missed that bit 😂 I wasn't being sarcastic with my comment by the way, just noting what I heard.
Is it me or is Mr Ayoade just simply gorgeous?
It's not just you. 😊
This and HIGNFY...what a week for Ayoade!!
I still can't believe that he was picked to be the next James Bond but I think he will do a perfect job!
Can't get enough of Richard.
this man doesnt age
Love this guy!
"thank you for not judging me" first top joke within seconds, can't wait for the rest of the video
Richard does it again. One of the best!!!!!!!
I love his dry quick wit
Richard Ayoade, the Man, keeping everyone sitting there humble 😂😂
That will smith shade was too good! 😂
I would watch Richard read the dictionary 😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️😂😂😂
Richard Ayoade is my spirit animal.
Always like his clever jokes. We laugh and we learn 😄😄😄
This man is never off. He has never choked in his life.
He’s super funny.., clearly a very intelligent guy👍
Is it the glasses?
If Ayoade isn't the next Doctor, I riot.
Or maybe I won't riot, I'll write a sternly worded letter.
Or perhaps I will lazily mutter beneath my breath, but there will be hell to pay. Quiet, hell. Dignified, quiet hell, but hell nonetheless.
The next Doctor, or at least the one before the next one maybe, was actually featured in this clip at very close to the same time that Ayoade said the word Doctor
Maybe he'll be the next Doctor, after the actor who was officially announced in recent hours
Well I WILL be rioting. The man is too perfect for this opportunity to be missed.
Angelsilhouette your comment was fabulous. Dare I say Ayoade-esque even.
You are not alone. I have been mentally and internally campaigning for Ayoade as the Doctor for years.
Utterly superb! Perfect delivery!
He's the best 😂
Richard is a class act
He’s perfection.
"this will eventually end. It won't feel like it will..." 🙂
Love Richard Ayoade!
I adore Richard Ayoade. 😄
He is so flipping clever!
Such a dynamic skillset. Submarine is one of my favorite movies.
That was great, refreshing and amusing.
That was hilarious. Need more.
Richard Ayoade is a treasure. Thanks for listening to my TED Talk.
We're all sick of Slapgate jokes by now, but that one was pretty good. I also like the implication that this sort of petulance would be prevented by making Award Ceremonies shorter...
I almost missed the slapgate joke - he just slipped it in (!). very well done and he got his dig at the celebs in without causing too much offence.
@@stablefairy9437 He seems to somehow understand that refraining from personal offense humour means he doesn't _have_ to get slapped!
Love Richard!
Class Act! Love it
We love richardddd
Pure genius
Pure gold
Pick one, or both if you wish.
Richard is a funny guy
This has similar energy to Bilbo giving his speech at his birthday party.
He's too funny 🤣
I ❤️ Ayoade
Ncuti! I love him already
hilarious is a strong word
Richard Ayoade is so fucking hilarious 🤣
3:35 Am I the only one who wishes that Richard could've been the New Doctor?
Nope. I think he’d be great but I think he’d never accept the role out of fear he’d be the one to kill the show.
I love your understated hilarity Richard. You're always a delight. 🌺
I laughed hard at this 😂😂
Love British comedy
He is the master of comedic timing.
He's adorable.
I watched travel man because of him. Especially the one episode with paul rudd
One second looking at Jodie Comer... worth it.
Ant and Dec looking important, good for them!
God i love him🤣💜👍
In every way possible.
“hilarious” is a very ambitious choice of adjective
Utterly relentless humor at its finest
British comedians got to be a happy bunch. If they are not touring panel shows or travel somewhere together, they get paid for celebrating other people in the same bubble. Yet, most if not all of them are grounded enough to be relatable.
Io lo amo proprio.
OMG so true. Ive put in a few hours today I feel exhausted. LOL
This man is a jem! 😂
*gem
Whenever I see Richard Ayoade, I hear him angrily saying ‘I am your captain!’ to Rob Beckett.
This guy is quite funny... he ought to do something with that.
Oscars are looking at this and see how an award show is supposed to look like
hilarious!
Come back Graham please!!!
Dry, yes. And there’s Graham Norton. He is my favorite interviewer. I think I should move to England. I have come to adore Ricky Gervais. Have never watched Dr. Who.
Norton is ok but I prefer Dean Learner ;)
It's a good time to start Dr Who
@@Sbudre it really isn't. Dr Who went Woke a long time ago.
@@apebass2215 I don't see woke as intrinsically problematic. I'm more concerned about whether or not the story is compelling (or even amusing). Wokeness is not usually the issue.
@@Sbudre if something is Woke, the storyline merely a vehicle for promoting an ideology, there is no genuine or compelling authenticity to Dr Who anymore.
If he was the next Dr Who, I might start watching it.
The next Doctor is quite a colorful actor. It will be worth a try.
"very loud applause is heard" *camera pans audience* :people just smiling: 😆
Frikin Legend
He's looking a lot healthier
Nearly clicked my finger clean off when I saw this in my recommendations
3:40min The sig scooping the lammelled that remained for fuel within silly-register. Fuel as Otha.
Honestly, Richard Ayoade would make a great Doctor Who.
Minor Correction Dept: It's *SIR* David "Bloody" Attenborough...
Richard Ayoade needs to be the next Doctor Who.
Very funny.
Get David Attenborough to do the next one, but don't ask him to do anything other than deliver a speech on the short lives of celebrities.
Richard would laugh his head off 😂
Almost feels like a Ricky Gervais spin off but with Richards classic charm
spin off/rip off
Oh, the BAFTAs were on were they?
He learned from Ricky Gervais
He sounds like what I imagine the PM sounded like in 1993.
👏 👏 👏
Grow up and use your words...
When was that on
I was hoping this guy was going to be the new Doctor Who.
I love you
I know it's not his style per se but I would have loved for him to roast some people like gervais did at the golden globes.
