Normally I would be irritated with the fact the Stephen King Wendigo is used instead of the actual Native American Wendigo... But it would make it hard to differentiate between The Shy Guy and the Wendigo if it was an accurate depiction.

I think an interesting detail about this scp is that it resembles the European depiction of the Wendigo created by settlers after relating Wendigos to the European werewolf. Maybe it was some form of retribution against the French/European settlers. It even reacts to people speaking English or French. It may have been an attempt to scare them off using their legend twisted by the invading settlers

The germanic people started in Scandinavia and made it from siberia to north africa and even set up a kingdom in Libya. Polynesians traveled possibly even as far east as south america and as far west as India or east Africa. Humans are mobile creatures and we love to travel (with the except of those shiftless Albanians)
