Ive always used those shower gels before a spray tan and never had any issues. I don't put on Cream or otion the day of my appt and showered the evening beforehand

Why can’t you build on top of a spray tan?
I had my first spray tan this past weekend at a local salon to see how it would go and learn before I attend a wedding next month. I showered, shaved, exfoliated about 20ish hours before the appointment. My upper body looked great but my the tanner settled into my hair follicles/pores on my legs and I looked like I had black dots all over my legs. How can I prevent that?
As long as you didn’t shower or shave for exfoliate right before. You may just have bigger pores and would need to use a clear solution with no bronzer. It’s hard to find spray tan artists that use it because it’s harder to work with.
How did you exfoliate?
@@sunlessrae7022 I used an exfoliating mitt all over after I had showered and shaved.
@@jennalindsey4592 You are doing everything correct, you would have to use a clear solution when spray tanning or a water based self tanner or a lotion unfortunately.

Hi! Does the daily lotion after need to be oil free? Do oil based makeup and lotion fade the tan faster?
Hi, for best results yes. An oil can break down the tan faster. The best is just a natural lotion, I recommend the brand Hempz.

Question? As the spray tan starts to fade can you start to use a shop bought tanning cream?
Yes, at the 3-5 day mark you can use a self tan mousse on top of it to make it last longer :)
What is the setting powder? Talc? Curious, I have allergies. Tyou❤️
It has Organic Tapioca, Organic Arrowroot, Mica and Natural Fragrance. No Talc!
