My mother passed away earlier this year and I inherited several brooches that go back three generations to my great-grandmother and I think I will get them out of that dusty old box and wear them proudly now! They are gorgeous!

I wore brooches most everyday throughout my 40 yr career. Have many of my Mom's and some others worn by very special ladies I have known. So I am all for bringing them back!

Second hand shopping in Norway hasn't been much popular, for years.
But now people are learning to relove old treasures...
My dad bought himself some dining chairs from a charity store.
He paid roughly US$ 7.00 a chair.
They proved to be highly popular vintage, worth US$ 400.00 each !
Wich made a 95 year old guy very happy and proud ! 😊

When I worked at Macy’s Alfred Dunner was a line that we sold to the more mature customer. The cut is looser for more comfort.

This was the absolute BEST video you ever put out and the absolute BEST music you have ever played. I like that thick green hat you were wearing in the car. It looks so good on you. Most of the items you picked up to look at you bought. I like a lot of the things you bought. The Goodwill stores have better items than Walmart and Target. They look like high-end new items. The colour of that jacket brings back memories. I had electric blue leather gloves and pointy toed boots when I was at university in 1984. Dyed the bottom of my hair blue to match.

My Goodwills here in middle TN NEVER have this kind of selection. It truly is mostly junk thrown on shelves. I'm envious of this kind of inventory at these prices!

I was excited to see the Hutzlers tag in your teal hat. A fine Baltimore department store when I was growing up. They had great animated window displays at Christmas.

Great finds! The candleholder in glass with four rings (20:42) is festivo from Iittala. Its from Finland, here in Scandinavia it is hard to find those in thrift stores because its a classic candleholder that is still a staple piece in many homes 🙌🏻

Great Goodwill haul! I'm always amazed at how clean and organized your GW's are. Here in the southeast they are quite a mess and rather expensive to boot.

My daughter started wearing vintage clothing in high school, much of it came from Goodwill. She has good style sense and enjoys dressing to stand out from the crowd. Later when she began collecting vintage costume jewelry to top off her look, that got me interested and now we each have a collection of lovely costume broaches - we’ll help you bring broaches back! I’m learning so much from your videos about arranging unusual forms, textures and colors. Thank you very much for sharing your creativity!
A little story for you. When we were kids my dad decided to make us a foil Christmas tree, so he got an old broom handle and drilled holes in it, and then took some hard straight wire and we took tin foil and made the branches with it. I can't remember the details on how we made them, but I remember sitting at the kitchen table and cutting strips. Years later when we were cleaning out our parents home we ran across the tree up in the rafters of our garage, memories came flooding back and I've never forgotten that tree. Love your style and how you keep the past alive.

Hi Laura, Donna here! I just turned 60 and my family bought an aluminum tree when I was born. My parents always put Christmas lights on our tree, just careful not to let aluminum get inside the lights! We never had a problem in the 40 years that we used that tree! We also had the color wheel similar to what you have. Just thought you might want to try the lights, it makes a really pretty tree, gorgeous! Merry Christmas!
