Meet the Hunt for Call of the Dead's Chilling Mystery. Call of the Dead is the ninth Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies map. Treyarch called it "a unique Zombies experience" and is "a very special creation for all Zombie fans". The level is the first to feature actual celebrities fighting off zombies and features George A. Romero as one of the zombies. Call of the Dead occurs in an abandoned Group 935 Siberian outpost, which features a shipwrecked freighter, a vibrant lighthouse, and a sparse coast.

I'd like to see a custom map that portrays "Call of the Dead" the way Richtofen planned it to be. Where he and ultimus would have collected the Golden Rod themselves. It'd be interesting to see what people come up with and what ultimus would have to fight through to get to it.
What an idea, this would have been such an awesome egg to have in the community remaster. Just hard to produce audio clips.

I had an isolated incident on like 2012 Twitter with the shorter, nasally-voiced fella from NGT. Was a huge fan to that point, but he was on socials getting his ego bruised by teenagers and engaging with so much shit with very little to add. Turned me off to the channel forever, and was very much a telling sign for me that the collective we knew as NGT was doomed for failure. Not GunsForHire, cannot remember the lil man's name. Love the video, still one of the best eggs to date

Its so weird hearing NGT getting mentioned as more than just a passing thought, they were up there with Dalek and Rofl back in the day
NGT from my understanding was more a group of adventurers rather than a single creator so I think maybe people don’t give the community as much respect for some reason?
NGT were before Dalek & Waffles, (Dalek became prominent during BO2 ripping content off everyone else)

Didn't know about the existence of this channel, I knew Evan from the main channel that covers Destiny 2 videos. Now my two favorite universes Zombies and Destiny, and now those two stories being narrated by Evan is awesome

There’s something about the zombies story but also the story of how the community solved everything, it’s just a masterpiece. Great series so far keen for the rest
In my experience, yours could very, the wonder waffle weapon is only dropped by George after you kill him. Once you’ve completed the Easter egg for the first time and anytime after. The mini gun, death machine only spawns in when you kill a zombie and it drops.
Its probably never been remastered because of the celebs and Romero, they would likely have to pay for all the royalties if they even can get Romeros anymore.

7/01/2014 I got the ensembled achievement aswell as all the others bo1 and 2 were the only games I fully clocked campaign wise multiplayer and gamer score tasks don’t make games like they use to
Love the Destiny content and the new stuff. CHANGE YOUR CAMERA ANGLE FOR DAY 1 RAID COVERAGE, PLEASE. Perhaps a live sportscaster type angle. That way we can see both hosts.

Even though I dislike the direction that this map put the zombies mode on. I remember at the time getting weekly and daily updates on solving the easter egg.

I still think now that Tag Der Toten near the ship in COTD spawn, u can access to a submarine ( maybe unsolved or scrapped) because there are barrels and some kind of entry to take a boat. And maybe will be solved, that's just expectation.
For the VR11, i still think it was made by the apothicon blood and blood of Yena's team (no spoilers) and created by the Siberian Group 935 facility according to Tag Der Toten radios. I mean a Siberian Camouflage come on😂

I wish back in the day me and my friends had uploaded the glitch we found on shi no in Black ops. We searched everywhere on the internet to see if anyone else had found it and we didn't find anything. The one thing we never tried was if it works in single player since it technically involves going down and getting revived outside the map. I think quick revive revives you a little bit too quickly to pull it off in single player
This has to be the best map pack we’ve ever received
Tag is pretty much a remaster of Cotd. I know it’s technically not but that’s pretty much how it was used
The Easter egg on this one was great

3:19 they talk so highly about a map that really didnt add anything significant and basically was just the only way we could use the cool sniper map wepaon. Map itself..... just load up ascension again boys.

Honestly I love in the whole idea behind this map, but I think in their quest to fit as much into this as possible they sort of watered down the zombies experience. This is the first map that is meant more for the Easter egg than it is for anything else and it's a trend that would continue in Black ops 2 maps centered around an Easter egg not zombies. That's why the zombies move so slow in Black ops 2 and 3. Because the point of the game is not the zombies anymore it's the story that's why Black ops 4 thought it could get away without having a campaign
You don’t consider it a remaster but that boy was def a remake like laziest thing they ever did on bo4 remake every map and add a few sections and act like it’s new or unique
Look for SpiderByte he’s the only person left I think in NGT
