      Simplicity is definitely the best. I wash my hair every 2 to 3 weeks. I refresh my scalp with rose water in between to avoid itchy scalp and reduce the build up. I haven't done a wash n go for about 3 years now. I always make sure to keep my hair stretched and have a protective style whether it be mini twists or medium size flat twists. And also avoid wearing my hair down.

    When it says self heating it means your body temperature. Your head holds the most heat. You won't physically feel it but your hair is actually getting heated. I was taught In school that if you dont own a heating cap just use a cap or plastic bag.

    Longest I’ve been is a month. I workout 5 days a week now and can barely get to the one week mark😂My kids go about a month or so but weekly moisturizing and styling. Growing up my mom would do our hair weekly but wouldn’t wash for 2 to 3 months. Our hair didn’t stink and wouldn’t flake. She used water and green grease. Then put sulfur 8 on our scalps. My son hair is tailbone length and my daughter is hip length. I owe that to low manipulation, finger detangling and grease. Keep doing what your doing because it works for YOU. FYI…they had to change the formula on the new palmer’s grease. I had an older jar and newer jar. My hair felt like straw using the newer jar. I used the older jar and my was hair juicy😂 Maybe it’s just my hair but I’m so sad it doesn’t work anymore because I’m all out of the older jar😭

    • @NaturalAcademia
      @NaturalAcademia  2 роки тому +7

      ☹️ I saw that they changed the formula smh, I haven’t tried the new one, I’m scared. Before they changed it, I bought like 10 of the old version. Idk what I’m gonna do when I run out.

    I could never, the most I've gone without washing it was 1 month because it was winter and I barely sweat in that season. But in summer I NEED to wash it more often, I used to do it every 2 weeks but I've found once week to be more beneficial, moisturising and my hair barely tangles.

    Hey! Beautiful hair. When you have a lot of build up - it might be best to use a clarifying shampoo to get all the gunk off and get a clean slate. After, consider using a deeply moisturizing conditioner and let it sit for 30 mins. The problem with Aussie Moist conditioner is that it contains heavy silicones - and could actually exacerbate hair build up. Love your videos!

    • @bleurose1502
      @bleurose1502 2 роки тому

      Yes when I use aussie moist I can feel the film. And since I use oils in my hair its not for me and a lot of silicones make my hair stiff in general. I use silicone free conditioners or those with low amounts of water soluble silicones

    You may he allergic to something in the fragrance. If you can, go see an allergist. They can find out what ingredient so you can avoid it.

    I do conditioner with shampoo, and I just spritz my hair instead of soaking it with water (basically a prepoo). I wash it one more time with shampoo (if I go over 2 months) and then condition it for about 5-10 minutes. I don't detangle (bc I don't section my hair) and when washing, I pull my hair in mainly 1 direction. I usually twist, but I started blowdrying and playing with it (in detangled sections). My hair needs a trim, but it is past my shoulders and growing healthy. I hope this helped someone❣️
