Makeup in the USA is a LOT cheaper than in the UK. If Americans have to pay more due to shipping, customs or the company wanting to charge more in the currency conversion the so what. In the UK we also have to pay a shit ton for foreign shipping, customs etc...
I bought the MUR palette before all the drama started and I love it. It matters not what my opinions are one way or the other. I love my palette and will continue to use it. Great tutorial and for giving me more of an idea of how to use a palette like this. I will be using this look, with a change or two like a light shimmer on the inner lid. Thank you, beauty.
Love ❤️ the video but thought I'd tell you that one of those hair bun donuts work exactly the same as the color switch. Plus you can get hair donuts at the dollar store.
I bought the MUR one for giggles to compare to my KVD S+L Eye Contour Palette, and NO Thank You! I am just not into 'dupes', and imo, this is not a dupe; its a Rip Off. I can totally tell the difference in the video between the two, and the KVD side looks way better, blended- has that KVD 'sheen', and just looks editorial in general. I do like the Vivid Baked highlighter in Peach Lights by MUR, but that's IT. Thanks for the vid!
I highly doubt she could. This is just something that happens when you come out with a product, people copy it. Converse, for instance, has a distinct look and style, but if you go to Wal-Mart you can easily find the exact same shoe made by another brand for less. I understand the frustration of having your work copied, but it isn't illegal in this realm.
I did not even know there was a dupe option for the KVD palette, I was holding off to buy it during the Sephora VIBR spend $50 get $25 back sale, but I am for sure going to try it out. Thank you :)
I got the Kat von d because my experience with makeup revolution was really bad. When the chocolate bar from too faced came out I got the chocolate palette from Makeup revolution and I hate it! I don't like the eyeshadows, they are super powdery they don't last with any primer even with my paint pot from Mac they only last 4 hours and I don't have oily eyelids so I will throw it in the trash can and get the original chocolate bar from too faced. I guess you get what you pay for
Sadie 13 I have their Chocolate and Peaches palette and I only prime my eyes with foundation and then put the eyeshadows on (the lightest shade from the palette for setting it) and it never creases, never moves and it lasts all day and I sometimes don't even remove the eyeshadow and in the morning still seems not too bad, minimal touch up :)
I do not wear eye shadow very often, but when I do I can rely on the Kat Von D pallette. I am fair skinned and blonde. I feel most eyeshadows are too harsh. Wish to someday master the art of applying but not holding my breath 😅
they are all patchy as fuck. they don't blend, the kick back is ridiculous the fallout makes me want to die and the colors are nothing alike. being cheap is never pretty.

Did you get your hands on the Sweet Peach palette last year? I got an email from Tam Beauty today and it looks like they just released their alternative to that "I Heart Makeup I ♡ Chocolate and Peaches". It would be great to see if it's a good dupe since so many people didn't get their hands on the too faced one.
I would get the Makeup Revolution palette if it were available at Ulta but it looks like the only place to get it is the link here and they want over $11 in shipping. (I really hate paying shipping!) Who knows though, maybe it will show up on Ulta's site soon. Definitely a good enough dupe!
Certainly similar, but you could really notice the quality difference I felt. It seemed you had to work harder to get the same pigment so the looks matched and the swatches were definitely patchier and less pigmented for the MR. For some palettes, a MR dupe might be worth it, but I wouldn't say this is one. From the product to the packaging, KVD hit it out of the park and is worth the splurge, imo. I'll save my dupes for other things.

As much as I'm upset for Kat and understand why she'd be angry about something like this happening, I love Makeup Revolution. They're the only cheap brand I know of that has good pigment, blends nicely and doesn't make my eyes feel gross. I'd love to be able to support Kat and buy her products but I just can't justify spending that much money. (Though I hope to have atleast a few of her products eventually)

She's apparently never shopped cheap, where there are actually products that blatantly say, for example, 'if you love (high end product name) then you'll love our version'. Dupes are out there, and they're out there because there's a demand for them because the average person cannot afford high end prices. I have worked for 21 years, and still could not justify spending that much money on beauty products.

She had photos of the two pallets side by side and it was obvious the differences in the colors. AND, she is also accused Jeffree Star of trying to get his fans to "attack" another makeup brand and shes doing the exact same thing.
I would much rather spend $15 than $60 for a makeup palette . I don't see how anyone can justify charging $60 for some eyeshadow . I won't be spending my hard earned money for some overpriced makeup . If Makeup Revolution can create the same palette for $15 it just goes to show you are paying $60 for a name .
Amanda Andrews I got that peach one the other day. Iv not used it yet but looks lovely. They have another one coming out. Well it's 2 palettes. As an artist, I can never approve of stealing, which is how MR makes their money. Their creative director just probably wonders what they can steal next. No judge is going to take makeup for women seriously and will throw any lawsuit out. Any victory for Kat would be phyrric as ME has already made their money. It's a sad world sometimes.
Not all folks can afford kat Von D prices, so it's nice that the less financially blessed can still get and enjoy using the beautiful shades in this palette. MUR cater for those who just cannot pay for designer palettes. I've got many MUR palettes and they are superb, for the money. Good pigmentation and they blend just fine. So......why should ONLY those who can afford to splash around £60 be favoured???? Let us financially challenged have some beautiful products too!! Please!!!
Makeup Revolution's seemed a bit patchier and worse blending :/ but a good option; However I can't in good conscience justify buying a plagiarised palette.
The Kat von D seems more pigmented. It had a brighter white and a darker black and the swatches seemed more opaque

Claudis C too faced is rereleasing the peach pallet along with a few other peach themed items I believe dec 14th!
