Interesting. I generally cap this game to 80FPS under Win11 with PathTracing at 4k DLSS-Balanced (no ray reconstruction because its shit on a stick) The concern I have with FSR3 FG was always latency, especially the issue where you turn around and it disables as it can't do fast movements. I hope NVIDIA knows people want the DLSS-FG option under Linux.. their taking ages to get it done.
If anyone is having trouble with flickering whilst driving fast, there is a "Frame Gen Ghosting Fix" mod that is working flawlessly for me. It was a bit of a pain to setup, though. I ended up having to extract all 5 folders (not just the 3 airmax showed) to my Cyberpunk2077/bin/x64 to get it working, after installing Frame Gen Ghosting Fix and the other 3 mods it uses for dependencies. It is worth setting up IMO. Its smooth as butter now, no flickers no matter how fast I drive. NOTE: While setting it up, one of the dependency mods has a version.dll, which will overwrite the one provided in the nukem9 frame gen mod. If this happens to break your frame gen and black screen you when tabbed out (it did to me), go back and replace the version.dll from the frame gen mod. The mod manager interface won't work after you do that, but the anti-ghosting fix will remain applied, and frame gen will work. (use borderless windowed!)
There is a similar Mod for Windows I have been using for quite some time, it is extremely easy to get its called Lossless Scaling on Steam. You just install and run it like any steam game, once the game you want to Frame gen is running you click Scale. It works on Anything, even games that don't and never will have frame gen, I use it for emulators mostly, You need to see what Sonic the Hedgehog looks like at 120fps. Lossless Scaling does not work on Linux, which is what brought me to this video
Make sure to change DLSS to quality instead of balanced in Cyberpunk. When I tried the mod around the time it came out it always dropped the setting back to DLSS balanced. Especially when you toggle frame gen on and off. (I noticed that too in your video)
OMFG!! Thank you SOOO much A1RM4X!! I love your channel so much. You have no idea how amazed I am at how much this video just helped me... I had this issue, but not when I first installed the nukem9 frame gen, but it was after, when I downloaded the frame gen ghosting mod fix. I didn't document how I fixed it, but try extracting the other files to your x64 folder too, not just the ones airmax showed in the video. And use bordeless windowed. (I also extracted plugin_asi_loader and plugin_red4ext to the CP2077 root folder, as well as adding the actual files contained in said folders to my bin folder, although I don't think this did anything, it could be worth a shot.)

@@Raevolpe oh, I know I was oversimplifying what it was, 5 months ago (necro threads much?), but at the end of the day, examining what the previous frame(s) were, and using frame data for the next frame, to create a fake frame, to bump fps numbers (and apparent smoothness) at the cost of end to end system and input lag, …it’s not a rendered frame. This Proton build is... won't work under Ubuntu
When I start the game, it's flickering like crazy. Then, when I try to load any of my saves, I see a black screen.
Trying to get the version of Proton tkg, but now it's a dead link.
It works in Cyberpunk 2077, but only under Steam but not Heroic, due to Proton incompatibilities I guess.
Even if you add as non-steam game?
Where I can find this custom proton now? Help me pls guys
Try this one => Proton LFX 2: github.com/FakeMichau/Proton-LFX2
If you are on CachyOS, use the CachyOS native proton that come with it.
Enjoy!

hello, must be this version : proton_tkg_9.0rc5.r4.gf445af0d.tar.xz ? can you reupload this or can i use diffrent version? wich?
my screen goes black when i enable this
Had to add additional steam launch option: DXVK_ENABLE_NVAPI=1
Got it to work, however the game crashes every 5 minutes or so. Anyway, nice to test anyway :) driver version 550.54.14
Sadly Proton TKG wont work on my version of Ubuntu. :/ guess I will wait for valve to "fix" this.
