What an excellent introduction this gentleman gives. I didn't know that anyone connected with 'woke' universities was allowed to speak with this sort of honesty and openness anymore.
these people are university students and he cannot formulate a darn question properly, like many times. Heather is just a library talking. Her English Language's skills are sublime!!!!! this is the way professors should be speaking and addressing students.
I'm so glad she told that story about the gay guy and his absurd identity politics speech. Ever since the whole gay marriage thing I've had a sense of dread that all of this was going to happen, because being gay myself I knew it would be a disaster if gay people hopped on the victim train that was roaring through our society. And of course, they did indeed get on the train. And they just grew more and more unbearable to me because I hate all identity politics. I knew it was inevitable though because every institution in our country was taken over by it. So I'm glad to see people like Heather putting up a fight. Maybe there's hope after all.
I went to Bucknell and took a class taught by professor Riley... more years ago than I'd like to admit, but we also had Milo Yiannopoulos. I remember the professors being pretty liberal, but the students generally weren't too bad. Too many business and engineering majors for that nonsense.
“The conservative censorship we saw at work this year in the battle over the arts is certainly loathsome, but I believe that liberal censorship may pose one of the biggest impediments to free speech in the future,” Hughes said. “The ‘sensitivity police’ are out to promote the idea that no one should be allowed to say anything that might possibly offend anybody else under any circumstance that could make somebody feel like an abused minority. I think this is a deadly course to follow--one that will not only cause free speech to suffer, but will ultimately destroy the language itself.” - Robert Hughes, LA Times 1990
Nothing is stopping anyone from self-education. If the schools have turned their back on the great works of man-in whatever domain of knowledge (and great Art too requires knowledge)-then there is a moral imperative to educate oneself as best as one can and by whatever methods one discovers. One is responsible for one's education!
At the 31 minute mark she says that Bucknell is not racist or sexist, and then turns around and immediately says that Bucknell is " twisting itself into knots to hire women and people of colour." Sounds like you could rephrase this to Bucknell is " twisting itself into knots to not hire males or those of non minority ethnicity," She really seems to have a complete blind spot here or an unwillingness to call it out.
I understand what you are saying, but I think she means sexist and racist as in anti-female only and anti-non-white only ideologies. But you are right, universities and other institutions do in fact discriminate against those who are white and those who are male. White women are also beginning to experience the same discrimination.
@@johnq.random9314 I also hear what you are saying. What I am pointing at, is that it is only something that is seen to discriminate against either women or a approved minority community, that is bad. Men and white people are fair game for any type of discrimination whatsoever. In other words; no amount of discrimination is unjustified in order to fight discrimination!
Reverse racism and sexism is now the academic standard. If she says that in those exact words, she will perhaps be persecuted a little more than she already is but won’t have said more than she’s already saying.
How Concerned we’re you with many of the Missandrist anti - male safe space , nonsensically ridiculous aspects of your gender studies crap from not that long ago ? The direction of the ship has been turned around has it ? ? ! 😳🧐🙄
Heather Mac...fearless and factual. Great talk.

Two years ago and as horrific as it was, it has gotten much worse. God help us.
This is wonderful! To hear real rationality, in a university- What??

Corporations will soon see what they are cheering! They will collapse on themselves.

olk
When do we start listening (carefully) to people like Heather. Leadership within the academy is a JOKE! Reform is way past due.
do not waste your time in college
She is big on rhetoric but poor on facts and data. Couldn't articulate a straightforward answer to any of the questions.😂😂
