Terrible idea to announce both a decrease in content and an increase in price. Also they want us to think they can’t afford to pay their workers fairly.

Nah, they tell it because they that is what they want to do and Iger wants to ensure shareholders that he is cutting losses.
I wonder if it would be better if they grandfathered in their users to their sign up plans, it would incentivize keeping a subscription. I’d be interested to know how much money they lose from people unsubscribing and resubscribing often to try to min/max their overall streaming budget. Another option could be to make the annual plan like 30-50% off instead of just like 10%, making commitment the no-brainer option.
I think there's going to be a lot more subscribe/binge/cancel going on... until they try to lock people in for yearly subscriptions for a "discount".

@@xant8344 No doubt. Then there will be people like myself going in the opposite direction and will start investing in physical media (eventually creating a home media server). One of the appeals of streaming to me was it was cheaper than buying the blu-ray and quicker than getting through the original Netflix via mail. But now that these services have shown they'll gut their catalogue to save a buck it kind of kills the idea of having anything you want at the push of a button.
I have the bundle because Hulu is my main TV provider. The unfortunate thing about all of these streaming alternatives is the price creep over years. They were the cheap alternative to cable/satellite. Now, with seemingly yearly price increases we're getting back into cable pricing territory. That doesn't even factor in if you have other streaming services on monthly or annual subscriptions. It's getting to be a lot of money.
It's a race between me being kicked off of my shared account and the guy who's paying for the shared account cancelling it. I honestly barely even use Disney+ for free and would never even consider paying for it. I don't know what they are thinking with so many price increases, it's nearly doubled in a year.
I will probably opt for the bundle

I also wonder if ESPN+ will have a better bundle than just the two of them. I'm in the all three bundle currently.

Why don’t they just move Hulu shows to Disney+?
Hulu isn't 100% owned by Disney, they own a majority of it but not all of it. They have moved all the Hulu content they personally own to Disney+ in all parts of the world that don't have Hulu (like here in the UK) but other shows and movies have been released in other places instead.
