Thank you so much for the specific electrical pathway! My 2003 would lose all power only when I turned the key all the way to start. I watched your video, then just unplugged and re-plugged that fuse you mentioned. Now it starts fine. I'm relived because I thought I would have to open up the car's computer again and resolder power resistor connections again. That's a whole other can of worms with these 2003 Rav4's. The computers go bad after 120k miles, act worst whenever the temperature gets to freezing, and cause the transmission to slip down a gear or hard shift. Once it was so bad it was actually stuck in 3rd gear so the engine would steam up when idle. I fixed the computer myself, but not perfectly. It still delays going into 4th or 5th gear, so hard shifts, whenever it gets cold outside. Edit* Oh, and I had two different transmission shops tell me nothing is mechanically wrong with the transmission. They both suggested I replace the computer for $1,000. Nah... I kind of like having a finicky computer. It's like my car is mentally ill, just like me!

Excellent video! My RAV4 doesn't start occasionally. You turn the key and nothing happens. If I wait a while it will startup. I think it is probably the relay. Thanks for the troubleshooting advice.
@@lukeneave I took it in & they did the whole scan computer process & my car did not show anything. It would not duplicate for them. It has worked fine since & that was over a month ago! Weird, huh.
Great info partner, what would you suggest is wrong when a fan relay only works when i pull it almost out and push it to one side the fan works but not when i push it back in, this with the ac on full on a 98 rav4
My rav4 no crank no starts sometimes could it possibly be blocked fuel filter or fuel issue or would it still crank, great info about the relay next time I'll try tapping it

my rav4 2002 1az manual, there is negative current in the jacks of bobins but no positive current, can some one help me how do i restore positive current in jack of ignition coil.
