He is so experienced artist but he was willingly asked for some role in காக்கா முட்டை, that shows how he loves the role and give an importance to a character of any movie. Kollywood must use him for big supporting roles. Hats off and i love your passion on the movie characters.
Mohan was my colleague in late 80s. At that time, he used to act in crazy Mohan plays. I had seen him act in one drama at his instance.
Simultaneously, he was persevering to make a breakthrough in big screen but without success.
Only tiny & momentary roles now & then, he got like in Director Fazil & Mani Ratnam films. Still, he wouldn't give up & persist.
Somehow doubts persisted in my mind about his acting calibre & success. He was quiet & aloof by nature. Second was his lack of diverse facial expressions to suit different characters.
I refrained from telling him this as it might dampen his enthusiasm.
A noteworthy positive point as my colleague was his industriousness @ office. He used to come late & go early, " unofficially" subject to my one condition.
He had to finish all his works for that day. He would sincerely dispose of nearly 3 persons work load within a short time & rush out to Kodambakkam to try his luck in films.
Sadly success never came his way despite his herculean efforts. He died relatively young.
