Thanks for subscribing! They only appear rare because people think they are and don't use them; therefore, you don't see them. But there are over 1.5 billion out there. This video also sheds some light on it! ua-cam.com/video/mdCNoxeRfxk/v-deo.html
My stepfather and a neighboring rancher raised a few quarter horses in the '60s and often went to the horse races. He had stacks of gummed together $2 bills that he could peel off at the track to place bets. He gave me several before I went overseas in 1968. The first time I used one at an Air Force BX, I got change for a $20 back.

A lot of people do not even realise that Hamilton was never president, not that Tubman was either, but you are correct, Alexander Hamilton needs to go!
What I did not mention in this video is that Tubman IS slated to be on the new $10 bill. They changed their minds from the original plan to have her on the $20. If I'm not mistaken, that bill could launch late in 2026
@@TheTwoDollarBillDocumentaryYep, they are supposed to launch a new $10 in 2026 in accordance with the Advanced Counterfeit Deterrence Committee, but it's the government so I'm expecting it to be delayed past then, especially since they don't even seem to have a design finalized yet.
@@TheTwoDollarBillDocumentaryAlso, I wasn't able to find any news that Tubman was going on the $10. I had heard that they were planning on putting Tubman on the back of the bill, still keeping Jackson on the front but maybe that has changed, if you have a link with updated information I'd love to see it
I continue to be amazed about the confusion around $2 bills. I am in Northwest Arkansas. Stopped by a Casey's today to pick up a couple of slices of pizza to go. It came to $6 and a little change so I gave the lady a $5 bill and a $2 bill. The first thing out of her mouth was where did you get this and I pointed to the bank across the street. Told her just go in and ask if they have $2 bills and if they do buy some. Next thing she asked was how much do they cost and I told her it's a $2 bill so it cost $2.
Asking so soon!?! I finally got this one done. I hope you noticed that I used your question in this video. Gonna be a while before I do one about the $5.
It's really surprising to me that there's more $100 bills in circulation than the $1 and the $20. I see $1s all the time and $20 (much to my disappointment) is the de-facto standard for ATMs. I almost never see $100s. I wish I had easier access to $50s and $100s, would cut down on the bills in my fold.
It is amazing that there are more $100s, but considering how that's our largest denomination, it makes sense that there could be many large transactions that require those bills. Either way, if you just go to your local bank, I'm sure they'd have many $100s and $50s if you wanted to trade in your small bills for them.
Amazing Video, Nice Editing I Subscribed keep up the good work. One question are 2 dollar bills rare? Most people say they are 🎉

I'm still hyped for the 2026 $10 redesign. That's if everything goes to plan.
The GOAT is back
I was back two weeks ago! Did you catch that video?

Thank you for watching and supporting my channel. :)
This channel is so oddly niche I can't help but be enthralled by it.

Harriet Tubman should be on the $10 bill. Alexander Hamilton supported centralized banking. I don't like him!

@@GeorgeVCohea Despite Andrew Jackson's failures, he paid off the national debt! I have more respect for him than most Presidents.

Geez. Send all those kinds of people to this channel! Thanks for sharing.
What would happen if a 2 dollar bill or other currency is too damaged to continue being in circulation?
Harriet Tubman should be on the $20! The $2 is already good
I didn't say it in the video, but it looks like she's going to end up on the $10.
She shouldn't be on any bill.
Thanks
Why should some black heffer be on anything what did she do for America!
maybe tubman on the 2 will increase teh use again?
I definitely think it would, but... they're not going to do it.
Now compare a 2 dollar bill to a 5‼️
I'll get around to that one eventually!
Make a new video on how $5 bills compare to $2 bills

@@TheTwoDollarBillDocumentary How about you make a video if $2 bills are accepted in Claw Machines at Arcades
Do the 10s
2 and 20 both have a 2 in them
Excellent! No need to watch the video now.
I’m still going to watch it regardless! You make superb videos!

I'm pretty sure that's mostly due to $100s being used a lot in foreign countries.
