Three and a half plus, and yeah, OMG. THAT would be the only cat I would bet against Ali, who he would have become further still, 25 and a quarter I think to 28 and three quarters years old. give or take. Much as I would miss the fantastic Frazier trilogy and full drama, I doubt even in 1971, without the exile, there is need for third fights, maybe not even a 2nd as far as Norton goes. I don't think he loses against either, in 1967 and beyond. Joe had EVERYTHING going for him, from getting to be a Champion himself, confidence wise, to Ali's layoff to Ali meeting him after only two tune ups, owing I guess to exhorbitant legal fees, along with a divorce, as well and really hospitalized Joe, who was never the same fighter again, after his peak here, though he brought the same willingness to die in the third bout with Ali, both past peak of course and battling for their souls, my fave and I think the best ever, since I saw it at ten years old, still do. Plus, he could have reigned for all intents and purposes about the same as Joe Louis, plus or minus one year. I forget, the four WW2 years, are they a part of Louis' under 12 years reign? He didn't have any defenses then.
+Nun Ya a prime 27 to 29 year old ali without a layoff would have destroyed frazier once and then frazier would have been forgotten norton wouldnt have touched him and he wouldnt have fought spinks holmes or berbick
Stephen Whitemore Preach. Frazier and Norton, owing to heart and style, respectively, would not have been EASY, but as I believe I have posted here or elsewhere, Frazier was at the PEAK of his powers for their first fight, had the fuel of hate owing to Ali's barbs, which owed to how his title was wrongfully stripped of him, and how Joe was, in his mind, okay with The Man and America, etc. Joe was NEVER the same fighter, despite his win, nearly DIED from the fight, and avoided fighting for a LONG time, fighting maybe 2-3 times to Ali's 12-13 in the same time frame after, and was FORCED to fight FOREMAN, since he was staying inactive. His manager urged Joe to RETIRE. Norton was built to confound post exile Ali, crouchy, peekaboo, counter puncher, etc...but Cassius or 60's Ali, TOO DAMN FAST, dance all night, can't be hit, just out points the man, period, and no bad tooth=broken jaw, either. Ali could have retired undefeated or out of boredom, same reign and numbers as Joe Louis, dozen years or so, but without all the bums on Louis' record, though I highly respect both Joes. PEACE
this man came back after a 3 year lay off and knocked out the hardest hitting heavyweight of all time , knocked out the man who knocked out more heavyweights than any other man.
Ali was 29-0 and unbeatable when he got banned from boxing for over 3½ years... and was terrible when he came back compared to his former self (and still beat a whole list of hall of famers).. but just imagine if he never got banned.. he would have been like 70-0.. and most people believe Ali never reached his prime because his prime should have been during the time he was banned.
M Maash Yeah.. Ali went to the draft and didn't step forward.. so he had to go to court and fought it all the way to supreme court and beat it.. and nobody has ever been drafted after that war. Boxing banned him while he fought the case in court.. once he beat it, they finally reinstated him, especially after everyone realized the whole Vietnam war was a sham.
What he lost could never be regained - his youth. He had a unique gift of speed, timing, stamina, reflexes and skill. Those 5 qualities made him the Great fighter and Athlete he was in his youth. After the comeback, the speed was diminished, the stamina was never the same, the reflexes were gone and his skill level on the downside. He won a lot of his fights in the 70's on heart and pride. A damn shame those three and a half years were lost to the fight public. A damn shame because we'll never really know just how GREAT he truly, truly could have been. Would have been something to witness!
His greatness is the things you think he lost, when he was younger his speed and mouth devastated his opponents. With old age his mouth, wisdom and timing devastated his opponents. You only great as the things that test you and you conquer it!!!!

True but Ali had the footwork and head movement. Tyson would be no challenge for Ali. Now fight to watch would be a 25 year old Jack Johnson vs a 25 year old Muhammad Ali.
Young tyson cut off the ring very well and young ali extended the ring better than anyone ever.....i think even when tyson cut it off ali would have either maneuvered out of it or tied him up and kept circling and jabbing.....i think cassius clay beats tyson, but not sure if the muhammed ali that. In the current era of giant heavyweights, what you have to remember when you watch these clips, is that Ali wasn't a small heavyweight. He was 6' 3" and 220lbs (15st 10lbs / 99kg), which makes his footwork, speed and stamina all the more amazing.
Ali was not knowned to be a big puncher, but watching him hit the bag @ having boxed myself @ am certain like I have always been that Ali had snap to his punches.Very good video indeed, thanks for showing it.
Ali actually had pretty good power. Obviously not in the foreman Tyson Louis category but Ali could hit. He had an 80% ko ratio in the 60's. Sonny Liston after the first fight said Ali could punch! his power is underrated.
Muhammad he's just legendary. You can't compare him to MayWeather neither PacMan. -Fighters like PacMan use their ability of strength against there opponent. Punch strong, fist like bricks...Stamina they work on. -Fighters like MayWeather do it mentally, he wants the opponent to come towards him, taunting him all the way through the match. (The remaining time PacMan and other fighters like him, have to remain calm.) It's proven mentality wins the fights. Muhammad used his opponents strength against him. "Like come on, is that the best you have? It's been round 3 and you still haven't won" People talk about "Who would win in a fight, Mike Tyson known as (Iron Mike) Or Muhammad Ali." My answer is that Muhammad would use Tysons aggression as he fights like an animal in the ring against him. Tyson would be down in the 10th round. His stamina was unreal, nothing compared to Muhammad's. I love Mike don't get me wrong in his prime days he was an machine like he just walked out of skynet, ready to claim whats his. Muhammad was totally different, he fought different he was unique that's whats great about Ali.
"Like, come on...etc" isn't taunting as well? What are you saying man? Come with something real. What Ali had was not only his unbreakable spirit and stamina, he had the best footwork possible for that time and a great feeling of the match, the whole ring was like it's body. And let's not forget he was taunting his opponents, there are a few videos about his taunting on UA-cam, go and watch them and then come with a decent argument about Ali greatness.
@David T nice to see someone else with a realistic view on boxing , I love Tyson I used to get up at 3am to watch him fight when I was a kid ... I watched VHS tapes of Ali around the same time I'm a big fan of both, I'd pick either version of Ali to beat Tyson pre exile it's little more than a athletic display by Ali as most of his contests were ... Post exile he'd out think him out wit him and more importantly he'd out fight him ... I personally find it difficult picking any heavyweight in history to beat a pre exile Ali he was displaying boxing of the kind never seen before or since
Bre--another one, I like to share with kids maybe 6-9 years old, teaching them how to do their own little mock Ali version, and they love is: I'm so fast I can hit your hands three times and you won't even see it! Hold your hands up, when I say, "Go", you say, " 1-2-3 Go", and I'll show you (1-2-3 Go, goes the child, with their two hands up in front of them) "Wanna see it agin?"
This guy was made for boxing every move he made WAS BEAUTIFUL. NOT AKWARD AND STANDING THERE MOVING HIS HEAD SIDE TO SIDE GETTING HIT AND BUSTING UP HIS FACE!!!.....DUNDEE SAID HE WAS SO AGILE IT WAS SCARY.......HE WAS BEAUTIFUL IN THE RING AND A CHARACTER AND A HALF....HES MY FAVORITE....BUT I GIVE PROPS TO ALL THIS IS A CRAZY TOUGH SPORT....GOD BLESS THEM ALL

He was banned because he refused to go fight in wars. His religion (Islam) prohibited him from hurting or killing anyone or anything.
I agree with you, what I meant to say was that his decision was based from his religion.

R I P Muhammad Ali the greatest Boxer of all times
Ali was not knowned to be a big puncher, but watching him hit the bag @ having boxed myself @ am certain like I have always been that Ali had snap to his punches.Very good video indeed, thanks for showing it.
Ali was hella underrated with his power…dude could hurt you with the best of em 💯🔥
He was definitely a hard hitter but the real powerhouses were people like sonny liston or earnie
“No way in the world for a man with no foot work to get to me”
Facts, son!
thanks for sharing MOHAMED'S BEST OF
The greatest.
“ keep your camera moving cause I’m kinda fast “ 💪💯
How’s that you are the greatest athlete and boxer and entertainer at the same time 🙏🙏 this guy is pure unique personality
Sazan Azez kk
The greatest of all time!
As a boxer, a man, and a citizen of the world.
U say he lacked power.... he made up for that in preciscion and accuracy...
makjazz7 You damn right Boxing is science and that's what people forget about
amen
Ali actually had pretty good power. Obviously not in the foreman Tyson Louis category but Ali could hit. He had an 80% ko ratio in the 60's. Sonny Liston after the first fight said Ali could punch! his power is underrated.
Christian Del Barrio Awesome comment
Muhammad he's just legendary. You can't compare him to MayWeather neither PacMan.
-Fighters like PacMan use their ability of strength against there opponent. Punch strong, fist like bricks...Stamina they work on.
-Fighters like MayWeather do it mentally, he wants the opponent to come towards him, taunting him all the way through the match. (The remaining time PacMan and other fighters like him, have to remain calm.)
It's proven mentality wins the fights. Muhammad used his opponents strength against him. "Like come on, is that the best you have? It's been round 3 and you still haven't won"
People talk about "Who would win in a fight, Mike Tyson known as (Iron Mike) Or Muhammad Ali." My answer is that Muhammad would use Tysons aggression as he fights like an animal in the ring against him.
Did u just say Pac-Man😳
"Like, come on...etc" isn't taunting as well?
I personally find it difficult picking any heavyweight in history to beat a pre exile Ali he was displaying boxing of the kind never seen before or since
if you talk about boxin, you must talk about muhamed , the original, the only one!
May Allah give him peace and Jannah Mohamed Ali.
Ali was a hero and still a hero of boxing till today.
“Stay out of range and move in when he is ready to punch”
Keep your camera movin' cause I'm kinda fast... keep your camera movin'.
Bre--another one, I like to share with kids maybe 6-9 years old, teaching them how to do their own little mock Ali version, and they love is:
I'm so fast I can hit your hands three times and you won't even see it!
Hold your hands up, when I say, "Go", you say, " 1-2-3 Go", and I'll show you
(1-2-3 Go, goes the child, with their two hands up in front of them)
"Wanna see it agin?"
Bre Fujimoto no bruce lee was fast.
@@idontfitin.3296 bruce was half the size of ali ofc he was fast
But the camera doesn't move
