What cycling bib short would you recommend an average cyclist get? I tend to only cycle during the warmer days in the UK so maybe 2 months out of 12. I want to cycle more and do longer distance cycles. I don’t want to spend more than £150 but want a really comfy chamois and good material
The ones I used are called Castelli Espresso bibs. These ones are really comfortable as after 2 days of cycling my A** would usually hurt (with the other bibs i've tried), but they were fine with these. Unfortunately, if you want to get comfortable ones, you'd need to spend a bit, but they are worth the investment. Try to get one first and if you like them and they make you want to ride more get another. I only have 2 bib shorts for the summer and 1 bib tights for the Winter (as I cycle less then). www.balfesbikes.co.uk/clothing/shorts/castelli-espresso-bib-shorts-in-gunmetal-grey__60465 These are the ones I use and if you use "Avocado5" at checkout you should get a bit more discount. Hope that would help 🙂
@@avocado.cyclist amazing thank you, do you know of anything for heavier cyclists? I am 6ft 2 and 110kg. I heard the chamois wear down after a few rides on lower end brands
@@tahmidchowdhury5984 usually they shouldn't with good brands.. But it could also be just due to the quality of the lower end brands probably that's why they wear quicker. From experience if you end up going for the lower quality ones you'd end up spending more long term cause you'll always have to buy more
@@donnieupchurch1115 hahhaha yeah .. I literally just have to walk to my office room haha . But It would be nice to cycle around the city more but its just so busy with traffic and from where I live there are no good cycle lanes into the city 😞
I think I can cycle 300 miles [483 km] in a day......I felt surprisingly fresh after my CTS 205 miler 😉 Amy [off the UA-cam channel _Amy's Cycling Adventures_ ] cycled over 400 miles [644 km] in one day 😮....that is beyond me !! [at the moment 😉].
400 miles is a lot! I would try to do it but its just making sure you have enough nutrition on you. I think its easier to do it all in one go. Splitting it I feel like makes it difficult cause your legs end up resting and then you become soar the next day. I might try 300km one day but will have to properly plan the stops haha
@@avocado.cyclist .....I took plenty of food with me on CTS loaded up on the top tube bag - eating while riding is key....a mix of sugars and carbs + carb powder in water bottles.
@@blaze1148 yeah thats what I will have to do...or i might do it end of the year when I am back in asia. there they have convenience stores in every corner so dont need to bring food at all haha
Well, one of my mate lost his virgin century in Regent’s Park, go figure that 😂😂😂. He told me it was around 50 laps. I guess there’s a reason he is a power lifter now. At least with Richmond, there’s some ups and downs, you can also mixed up your routes by cutting through the centre.😅
@@avocado.cyclist The guy is MAD, but that’s why I love him. He also got me into serious cycling by breaking my inner tube valve 🤣🤣🤣. Story for another day I guess.
