For all our foreign viewers: this wonderful family concert now has English subtitles. Enjoy!!
Absolutely fabulous; pierces the heart!
Prachtig, good to see the many children in the Concert Gebouw.
Beautiful performance of this great music! One feels the waves and depth of sea in the Hebrides and the Midsummer Night's Dream is very alive and light and humorous. Good Orchestra with an inspiring conductor. Shame I don't understand Dutch. The actress seems to be very charming.
Great news TheMbader: we will be adding English subtitles to this concert very soon!
Wonderful!
Greatly enjoyed this.
Maravilloso! Bravo!
hermosa musica 💕💕
It is always a pleasure to see this piece performed live, as there's a pretty great variety between just how each ensemble approaches it. In this case, both orchestra and storyteller deliver an excellent performance. It must be a very fun experience live, but even as a video it is easily an afternoon's enjoyment, thank you for uploading it.
Great, looking forward to the subtitles, thank you!
Beautiful
Wat is Maartje van de Wetering toch goed. Een talentvolle vrouw

great
Fehlerlose aber nicht so spannende Leistung dieses großartigen Meisterwerks vom relativ kompakten Orchester.
Forgive me--its Dutch...but I still do really like Maartje...pity....
Los comentarios son una pesades.
Prachtige muziek, maar waarom toch steeds weer die onnatuurlijke rode en blauwe belichting?? Niet om aan te zien!
What language does the narrator use, Dutch or German?
+Ignatius Theodore Nico it’s dutch:)
Dutch
I am slanted in my thinking, because I like to have the orchestra dominate in a live performance. I sit in the front row when I can, at The Nutcracker, because nothing matters more than hearing Tchaikovksy (and contrary to the myth, you miss little important principal dancing up there).
I will add that I like Maartje--her theatrics and how she moves and her clear tough wonderful German voice (And thank you for the subtitles), but this engaging young lady becomes an annoyance early, and stays that way. It's a shame. She is detracting from the music, narrating Shakespeare so you can't hear the orchestra. The players are not even seen, when the spotlight on her grabs your eye again and again. I'm only watching the video and it bothers me. I'd be very curious to hear what the people in the theater thought of this strange production.
