You are on top of my list on favorite UA-camrs Gamester! I love your vids. You talk about systems that nobody talks about and you add knowledge to my empty head. :P
I agree the system is bad, but it was my first system. I was 7 in 77. And makes me feel old when current kids say they are old school, because they played NES. Just because they were games on the tv it was cool. We had Odessy2 and eventually Colecovision. Cable ready tvs were relatively new back then and the little black thing you showed to hook to the tv was an adapter. I just wish you had shown some game play so I could show off what I had to play with back in the day.
My dad has one of these, bought at Radio Shack, as well as some games. I used to play the crap out of this for hours. It had a mode where you could tell it to move in a few ways to draw something and then it would take over after so many commands, much like LOGO.
Cool review man. Never heard of the RCA Studio II before.. So it's definitely interesting for me to know about it here! Enjoy the PAX convention man.. and looking forward to see some footage..
Hmm. Super Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Country, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy II, Super Mario World, Star Fox. . . the list goes on and on for great games on the SNES.
Wow! Did you know that this thing had a 1.7 MHz Processor? That is almost as good as the Super Nintendo! It also had Space war, wish the "controllers" were better though :(
Hi Gamester81, I'm not as used to the N64 controller as I used to be when I was little, so I looked at the IQue controller and it looks very nice, can that be used as a N64 controller?
Open up that TV adapter box (or one from a 2600) and you'll see, there's not much to it in there. A couple of wires going around a ferrrite torus core to cut down on interference and so on, with a slide switch. Its mainly just a breakout box to allow you to switch between game system or antenna input. You could pretty much build your own if you needed to. Basically a device to appease the rents, that every time they wanted to watch tv, you didn't have to rewire antenna connections.
Great video buddy, wow that really looks retro you can tell just by the color of the console alone, i dont think they make that color anymore, lol. What was the deal with making things dark cream in the 70's?
I'm still new to your show and love watching the vids you make. With that being said, don't hate me, but I am a fan of AVGN and IRATE GAMER. However, I watch their videos for entertainment purposes only. Some are funny some are stupid, but they're entertaining. In regards to your show I feel like I'm getting the education I always wanted..I here by knight you as the Encyclopedia-Man of Gaming. Thanks so much for the education of a lifetime!!
Oh man I was invited to PAX but I couldn't get enough cash together. Looking forward to whatever footage you get if any. Cool man I like the whole gamer tag thing a lot better than the normal tagged thing. I am uninteresting. However the games I play are not lol. I will get on that as soon as I shave. I have a huge beard going on right now. I look like freaking Grizzly Adams or some shit. That RCA thing there is kinda cool. I would want it more for collecting than playing. Awesome vid.
Ran across one of these in a thrift store the other day. What would one of these be worth, only after watching this video do I feel the need to go back and buy it. lol
How can someone be the inventor of the clone? The inventor of the concept of consoles with interchangable cartridges is the same as the inventor of Fairchild Channel F. And this is just the clone, and one of the worst thereto.
Greetings, "bro". College was a LONG time ago. Time to dress like a grown-up, lose the wall hangings and give up on that look you're STILL working to pull off.
"You have to sit really close each other." Sounds like a nice first date.

Cool to see other Turbografx fans out there! :D
Well this settles what that mystery cartridge I have goes to. It's a light blue cartridge and the game is "Dot Gobbler."
Hey John thanks for the mention! Great video as always. Enjoy your trip to PAX!
Excellent review. That is a really old one. I'm looking forward to some of this footage of the game expo you're going to. Have fun up there.

No I actually don't own the Studio I. Do you happen to have one?
Hmm. Super Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Country, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy II, Super Mario World, Star Fox. . . the list goes on and on for great games on the SNES.

Hey totally didn't mean to hurt any feelings. That's cool your grandfather invented this.
Awesome! Been waiting for this!

@Gamester81 I actually heard that there is no such thing as the RCA Studio I.
Quite disappointing that you didn't show any gameplay footage but thanks for the console overview!

Well think of this, your granddaddy might not of been experienced as others, but he made something, and that's more than most people have done.
Is it really that unique an ac adapter? From what I've seen it's a 9v pin like an Atari 2600...
I had one as a kid, I didn't care. it was cool at the time, sure my mom was a cheap ass I guess for buying it but I was a little kid
They put Super Star wars and Super Empire strikes back on the Wii VC
Fuck yeah, Nebraska fan!
is that Star Trek: The Next Generation in the background of the beggining? if so... HUZZA!!!!!
Go Big Red!
Black Jack kinda should have been named Back Off Jack. I mean... I wouldn't gamble ready to develop a phobia of tight spaces... :P
i feel bad for the kid who got this instead of an atari that xmas!

Hey Adam, just send me a PM. Thanks.
The RCA Studio II Is Still The Worst Video Game Console Of All Time.
When you say "Hey UA-cam how's it going?" who actually are you speaking to?
Obviously not you. >.>
Yeah, you called this thing a piece of shit in the FairChild Channel F video.
its Fucking worst than CDI
The cdi could play cds though
lol ikr

@xxz100 lies!
