In southern Italy, roosters are beheaded on August 15th (ferragosto). I witnessed this as a child. Tomato sauce is also made everywhere. The streets smell really good, oh man I miss Italy! Best wishes from Germany🥰

Ferragosto is the 15th of August and it is true most of the Romans ate away but it is not always so hot and is the period of time of less traffic.
So true! The city is empty but .. it’s extremely hot 😈 so if you can’t handle summer heat with no sea - Rome might be not the very right place to visit in August ☺️
Or you can visit places at night for a change 🙂 still beautiful
before few months ago i was placed next to the termini station, personally had no problems. the people there minding their own business. ciao

Italy is beautiful, and its cuisine is unparalleled. She just wants you to embrace the culture and try something new. People spend thousands of dollars and travel hundreds of miles to visit Italy. Enjoy the unique and wonderful experience. McDonald’s will be waiting for you when you get home.
Good suggestion to watch both side before crosding the road and catch the eyes of the driver.
It’s Rome 😉 and it’s close to Naples 😁 people there don’t really believe in road signs 😅
