We're making laser cut scrap wood placemats this week at Makers Workshop LLC. At the Makerspace we accumulate laser cut scrap wood quickly, and the scrap wood is too good looking to burn so... Michael and Brooke are each making a set of resin placemats. How will they turn out?... we don't know yet.

why not cut scraps into tiny squares to get maximum fit.

That could have been a cool way to go. We wanted the resin as an equal part in these this time but there will be plenty more of these in our future
