I've only tried it with wheel and pedals, but I think you should be able to map any controller. Handling is great, a lot better than Grid Autosport imo, this is more of a sim.
After spending 2 hours trying to figure it out with hamachi we accepted defeat, we got as far as him connecting but crashing as soon as the menu loads. Nightmare 😅 I don’t suppose you’ve had any success with setting up a lan dedicated server?
So you finally got Race 07 to work with your Sim Gear & Pedals, Mr Closet................. Hip, Hip, Hooray - but to quote that crazy clown from Seinfeld "You're livin' in the paaaaast, Man", hahahaha (but I for one, can't wait to see more of it personally ; )))
@@RVRCloset and all stirring aside - it actually looks surprisingly fantastic for it's age - with quite nice ambient-noise sounds as well. Does it support online racing? - can you race with some of the boyz that also own it???

How come you couldn't play with the HE pedals? Controller limit? I have no issues with my sprint pedals but the FFB feels awful on my t300 compared to modern titles. Shame as I loved this game back in the day.
@@RVRCloset If you ever want to go head to head (albeit I drive on keyboard), lemme know. Although the multiplayer servers are no longer running we can do a VPN pretty easily and rig up some wheel to wheel racing.

Yeah, I had a weird issue with rFactor based sims were my Fanatec wheel and HE pedals conflicted, was never able to solve that issue..

Its still a great game. It looks a bit dated, but not bad enough where its not fun to play. The handling and so on remains really good.
