      in my team i was the only one with the worse timing but i needed to learn how to time it right because in my team im the cannon but i still can't get perfectly right so im one year thats pretty good

      I got timing down in a month and a half of playing or so, all it took was like 2 years of watching tape and analyzing it 💀 dont know if its really an equal tradeoff 😂😂

    Anyways, this was incredible progression tbh and it happened SUPER fast. Be proud of yourself homie; you grinded that shit out!

    One tip for hitting harder: Hard to judge from this short vid, but seems like you could get more power out of your left arm swinging down, use that power to twist your torso and bring your right shoulder to the front in one movement.

  • @JuLiuSxX01
    @JuLiuSxX01 Рік тому +1

    i have a good tip for you guys as an outside hitter: your body moves into the air when the ball has reached its highest point (in a perfect set). with perfect set i mean theoreticly the optimal angle the setter sets the ball to outside. there are too high and too low balls. if the ball is too high you wait a bit more with your approach (so you jump when the ball is falling down after reaching its highest point) and if the ball is too low set you need to be a bit faster (you jump before the ball is falling down after reaching the highest point). but for a general anchor jump up when the ball is at the highest point in the air. keep on rocking guys, im an lefthand outside hitter :)
    what helps is get a progamer country vs country game and analyse your position compared to the setter. pros do a bit different than the avarage volleyball team. they often set the ball "too low" because they force the opposite block to move fast in order not to block correctly (because its too fast).
    but even if the ball is too low set the pro jumps into the air when the ball reaches it highest point on outside, but the approach in general is much faster. the outside hitter needs to be confident that the ball is set low. because he starts an approach even before he can see where the ball is set to. so the ball needs to fly perfectly low to the outside hitter, while the attacker is doing his movement. if its then set too high, the hitter will be "under" the ball and wont attack correctly.
    Problem here:
    - the body or arm is under (because the body is falling down from the jump, while the ball is too high in the air) or
    - infront of the ball (he moved too far to the net because he cant see where the ball is set to cos he started the approach in order to receive an low set ball but the setting angle isn't good -> ball flying a bit away from the net / not parallel from the setter) and not on top of the ball!

    @Camdennnn Рік тому +3

    This was crazy progress especially for a year. One thing I noticed was how much you’re swinging your arms forward before the back swing of your approach. This forward swing is inefficient a lot of the time and makes it harder to adjust to different tempo sets. Besides that, your hitting is extremely good and you can put the ball where you want on the court.

  • @MrSeanMDolan
    @MrSeanMDolan Рік тому +2

    Good job, reminds me of when I was year 9 I had a huge jump in ability to hit that year that seemed to come from nowhere.
    I’m 31 now and I recommend to get to a higher level to actually focus on learning other positions because it makes your out of system play and versatility far more important to the team.
    Everyone wants to be an outside hitter, so if you can set, block and pass it’s hard to take you off the court.

    Bro progressed almost as much as I did in 5 years. Insane, just gotta see more swagger on the court, I like the no knee pads though

    Great progress! Just a tip: when you swing your arms back in your approach you have a tendency to bend your elbows. If you watch some pros you'll notice how they have their arms straight which allows them to swing their arms back so high that they'll have their hands as high as their head. I can't tell if you still do it in your december videos because your approach was not in the shot. I was also going to comment something about your arm swing but it got so much better in your last clips! Keep up the good work

      Yeah I know the extension in the back helps, but I’m not flexible enough for it right now 🥲
