I dont think it can be called a plot twist. More of a character twist. I mean, the plot is the same. When the truth about the world is revealed- that is a plot point. It changes the character's seeing of the world, changes the direction of the story - it's not about fighting giants anymore.

Master of Sorrow It was revealed in the manga that Dina’s titan went past many humans, looked at them, then ignored them, and kept heading straight for Grishas house.
